Today, I got a phone call from a bloke with an Asian accent who said he was calling from BT. He told me my internet had been compromised or something like that. I told him he wasn’t really from BT and then I just ended the call.

I picked up when this number called, but nobody said a word before they just ended the call.

This number called me twice in a row over the past couple of days. The person on the other end was really nasty. It’s obviously a scam. When I told them I was onto their bluff, they just hung up. They even suggested I verify with BT, which just sounds fishy. I’m worried some folks might fall for this because it sounds convincing. They also tried to claim that no matter your internet provider, BT handles all connections - total rubbish! Just another sneaky effort to trick people who aren’t paying attention.

Got a call from this number claiming it was about security with bt. I told the bloke, quite nicely, to head back to India, and then he went and put his “supervisor” on the line just to have a go at me.

got a call from someone with an indian accent claiming if they were from bt about issues with my internet. i didnt stay long, just ended the call right away. not sure if it was risky or not, but felt a bit dodgy.

Got a call today again from this number. The bloke had a bit of an Indian accent and said he was from BT. The moment I told him I didn’t buy it, he just ended the call straight away!

A bloke with an Indian accent called claiming to be from BT and told me my internet had been hacked. He asked me to let him on my computer to sort it out. When I told him I wasn’t daft and knew it was a con, he started shouting and then just hung up on me.

the person on the phone sounded like he was from india and didnt really say which company he was representing. he claimed that someone was connected to my internet without my okay and said he found out from the router details. he asked me how many gadgets were hooked up to my wifi. i kept saying theres no one using it without me knowing, and after a bit i just ended the call.

Its crazy how noone seems to be stopping these scams, my mam's 86 and they nearly pulled one on her, luckily I was there with her so they didnt get away with it.

Got a call this afternoon, 4th Sept 2017, from someone speaking with an African accent claiming to be from BT. He mentioned something about issues with my internet and said hackers might be trying to get into my account. Then he started asking for personal info like if I lived at this address, my full name and postcode. I didn’t respond and instead asked where he was calling from, but he refused to say or repeat, just kept insisting he was from BT. I ended the call. Later, I looked up the number that showed on my caller ID - 02659871236.

Got a call earlier from someone claiming my broadband had been hacked or something.
I asked them what company they worked for and they just hung up straight away.
They're trying to trick people into giving them remote access to fix a fake issue. Definitely a dodgy scam trying to pull a fast one.

Got a call claiming to be from BT saying my broadband had 15 people using it. I told them my broadband isn’t even with BT, and then they just dropped the call. Pretty weird!
