This was definitely a scam. The bloke on the other end got pretty annoyed when I called him out on his rubbish claim about my laptop being hacked. He kept trying to boss me around with his sneaky language, but when I questioned his terrible attitude, he began throwing swear words at me. Honestly, it was more funny than anything because I just couldn’t take him seriously. The call wasn’t nice at all, but at least it was obvious straight away what was going on.

Got a call from someone named David claiming to be from BT, saying there’d been some issues with my broadband lately - which actually had happened. He started talking about loads of hacking attempts. Suddenly it struck me something was fishy, so I said, “Wait a minute, you’re not legit, are you?” And he just admitted it straight away, “Yeah, that’s right.” Just a heads up to everyone, watch out for these fraudsters!
