This number has called me loads of times and I just ignored it thinking it was some sort of sales call. I was right! When I finally picked up today, a bloke with a funny accent wanted to ask me questions (didn’t quite catch what, but it was definitely a sales pitch). I told him nicely I wasn’t interested and asked to be removed from their list, but then he got quite rude. I told him fairly bluntly to stop calling because we’re ex-directory, and I hung up.
Does anyone know how to properly block these calls? I use a call blocker, but as soon as I block one number, they just ring from another - it never stops!

This number keeps ringing me and when I picked up today, they claimed to be from BT saying my calls would be cut off next month. Then they asked if I make lots of calls. I told them I was busy and asked to ring back later, but they just ended the call. Such a pain! Be careful not to get caught out by this scam.

This number has been ringing my phone loads of times. Figured if I just answered their questions, maybe they’d quit calling me. I get calls like this almost daily, usually at about the same hour. The person on the other end speaks English with an accent, so it's pretty clear they're not local. I usually just tell them I'm not the person they’re asking for and that normally makes them hang up pretty quick. It's quite irritating, but I try not to get drawn into any conversations with them. Better to just end the call ASAP.

Someone called me by my name, even though we’re ex-directory. The bloke said his name was Roger, but he sounded like he had an foreign accent. He was trying to get me to cut down my monthly phone charges. I just told him my husband’s with BT so I’m already on a top deal. Then I hung up!

For the past three weeks, I've been getting calls from this number and a few others like it, sometimes even multiple times a day. Today was from this exact number. They keep asking to talk to my partner's deceased wife, but when I tell them Mrs. B passed away twenty years ago and I’m not going to reveal who I am, they just hang up. It’s really frustrating!
