someone rang sayin they were from talktalk, but as soon as i told them we dont use talktalk anymore, they tried to debate it for a bit then just ended the call abruptly.

loads of calls from these lot lately. they pretend to be from talktalk, which i’m not even a customer of, saying my internet’s got issues. i mess about with them a bit cos i’m interested in what they’re up to. they try to get me to do stuff on a windows pc (which i haven’t got) to supposedly fix the ‘issue’. no doubt these are scammers and they get quite nasty if you start fooling around with them.

On 10th June 2016, I answered a call but no one said a word, then an answering machine just said goodbye. Reading other comments, looks like this is linked to a call I got a few days earlier from 002088887779. They said they were from TalkTalk and told me there was a problem with my computer. I just ended the call straight away. Definitely not TalkTalk, just another sneaky scam trying to rip people off.

Got a call from some bloke called John, said he was from TalkTalk. He had my name and address right but was clueless about the changes we’d made to our contract. Then he asked if I was at my computer because apparently there was an issue with it - except we don’t even have a computer here! When I asked if he really worked for TalkTalk, he just hung up on me. Quite dodgy if you ask me!

I picked up the phone and there was just silence for like 10 seconds. Then out of nowhere, this robotic voice thanked me and hung up. What’s that about?

There was a pause lasting roughly ten seconds, then a quick 'goodbye' before the call was abruptly ended.
