I got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from the Department of Budget and Spending Analysis. She told me I have a Premium bank account and have been paying fees on it, and now I could get a refund. I told her I don’t have any such account, and she said she’d remove my details from their system and maybe she had the wrong info. After that, I checked online and couldn’t find any government department like that in the UK. (I’m not from the UK, so correct me if I’m mistaken!) I even called back, and an automated voice said it was from that department, giving some options, but I just hung up. Watch out for these calls - they may try to get your bank details if you admit to having an account. Just a guess though, since I didn’t get that far!
