Got a call from 02476735202 and there was this delay before anyone spoke, sounded like an African accent from a call centre. The person claimed to be from BT. As soon as I said they were lying and it was a scam, they just ended the call. Pretty obvious it was dodgy.

Around 9 in the morning on Friday the 8th of March, I got a call from 02476735202. It sounded like it was coming from some sort of call centre with loads of noise in the background. The person who answered had a foreign accent, maybe African, but everything was muddled and they kept calling me by a different name. Your website was really useful, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number on my phone now.

Got a call from someone claiming to be British Telecom offering a 35% discount on my bill. They asked for my postcode but then got my address wrong. Since I don’t even have BT, it’s clearly a scam. Does anyone know how to stop these firms from calling? Feels like they’re just ignoring GDPR completely.

I didn’t pick up and there was no voicemail left either. Pretty sure it was just another dodgy scam call.
