A woman rang me claiming to be from Microsoft, wanting to discuss some issues with my computer. I swiftly hung up and subsequently blocked the number through BT Call Protect.

Got a call from a number that looked really local, so I picked up. Some automated message was on about my credit card being charged £300, and it asked me to press 1 or 2. I pressed 2 just to see what happened. A polite-sounding man with a South Asian accent started talking while I was having my cup of tea. Then the call just ended. Felt a bit suspect to me, especially since the number was from somewhere nearby - usually these scams come from random places like Glasgow, Portsmouth, or Bolton, but I don’t know anyone there. Quite fishy if you ask me.
