What a pain these calls are. I played along, pretending I was about to share my password, then started spelling it out with the phonetic alphabet: foxtrot, uniform, charlie, kilo, oscar, foxtrot, foxtrot. They weren’t too happy and ended up hanging up on me.

Got a couple of calls from 02476682781. Had to answer twice cause they kept ringing. Some scammers acting like they were from Microsoft, but I wasn’t falling for it. I cut the call straight away since 1) I use Apple stuff and 2) I’m well aware of these dodgy scams.

Yeah, got a call from that dodgy number 02476 682781 again. The bloke was all like, "Are you the main user of your computer, mate? You gotta be sitting at it so I can help, there’s some malware on your Windows system." I told him it was actually a MacBook (which it isn't), but he kept going on about some malware issue. I told him the only virus here would be the one from the dodgy site he was probably about to make me visit, and told him to jog on. Then he just cut me off. (If you don’t know what I meant by ‘jog on’, check out some online slang!)

I’m really sick of it by now. Every time I’m about to finish something, the phone rings again. Since I got caller ID, I just ignore these calls. They keep ringing from loads of different numbers, like four or five times a day. It’s proper annoying!

Got a dead silent call at 2.47 this afternoon. Bloody annoying - why can't the officials catch these pests and lock em up? Been getting these kinds of calls before, and usually I just tell them my computer's an Applemac... or sometimes I just hang up straight away.

Some bloke called sayin there was a problem with my PC, but I knew it was a scam straight away and just hung up on him. He actually phoned back right away, tryin to convince me he wasn’t a con artist! Let him ramble on for a bit while I made myself a cuppa, then I cut him off again. Since time's money for these types, I reckon I just saved myself a bit of dosh by wasting his.

He kept insisting she had to sit in front of the computer, but she told him she was feeling unwell and resting in bed. He didn't seem to care at all, kept saying it was urgent. So she just told him she'd ring a proper technician and he finally backed off.

My phone went off and there was silence for a good 10 seconds. When someone finally spoke up, they claimed to be ringing from Coventry and wanted me to let them on my computer to fix some problems. I told them it was Microsoft and then just ended the call.
