This number 02476682427 kept ringing me loads, and it’s definitely a con. They claimed there was something wrong with my PC, but since I know a lot about computers, I asked them which one exactly, as I have around 15 devices! They couldn’t answer and sounded dodgy. I just told them to get lost, and they haven't called back since. If they ring and say you’ve got a virus, just ask them politely which device they mean - that usually throws them off.

No clue who this person is, cos every time our ansmac (it blocks numbers we don't recognise) comes on, the call just drops..BUT IT'S REALLY BLOODY ANNOYING HOW MANY TIMES THIS NUMBER HAS RANG US, INTERRUPTING US FROM WHATEVER WE WERE DOING!!! IT'S ABOUT TIME THIS KIND OF HARASSMENT WAS STOPPED / MADE ILLEGAL.. Maybe they should cut off their phone finger as a penalty ?????

Got a call from an Asian woman named Christine saying my computer wasn’t getting proper support. I told her my husband works in IT and everything’s fine, then she asked what he does. When I said that, she said he has nothing to do with computers and she knows more than me since she’s trained. I told her it sounded like a scam and mentioned my father-in-law got ripped off by them once, then she just hung up on me.

Got a call from an Asian bloke who was clearly reading off a script. He told me I wasn’t getting updates from Microsoft. I work in IT at a school so I know updates happen automatically without a hitch. I played along and he asked me to tell him when my computer was switched on. Bit funny since I'd been working on it all morning. Pretty clear he was trying to lure me onto some dodgy site so they could control my computer remotely. I just told him to find a proper job and do something useful, then I hung up. Total scammers.

Some bloke reading from a script, asking if I was the computer owner, claiming to be from the help desk. When I asked what he wanted, he seemed lost for words (guess I threw him off the script?). So, I just ended the call.

This number is flagged on BT’s nuisance call list and gets blocked automatically by their free Call Protect service. It appears on my blocked calls log but when I check 1471 it says the last call was from the day before. The person behind this number is very persistent; you’ll find it mentioned on pretty much every who-called-me site. If, like some say, they’re after access to your home computer, then I’d say this is seriously risky.

This number has been ringing me non stop for the last week. The first time I got a message saying my internet was about to get cut off, so I just ignored it. Then today, I answered and an asian lady told me it won’t work, and when I said it would, she started arguing and then hung up. I’m sure it’s a scam. i picked up the phone and it was a guy speaking with an indian accent saying my computer was in danger from a nasty trojan virus. he said if i logged onto my PC he would help me by showing a website or something. so i opened google and searched his number, landed on this site. i began reading out loud some of the feedback people had left about him. he clearly didn’t like it and said i was wasting HIS time then asked if i wanted to continue 'Yes or No?'. i just kept going through the comments. then he just hung up.

I told him I don't use microsoft, I got apple gear instead. then he said he helps with apple too. i called him out as a scammer and he just hung up. seriously stay sharp, these people pretend to be tech support, then try to remote into your computer and demand cash. just check out 'tech support scam' on youtube and you’ll find loads of videos warning about them. glad I knew about this already.

Their business should be shut down, but it never happens because the government and phone company get paid for every call they make.
