Most likely a scam call. These annoying calls are really frustrating. Although phone companies attempt to block them, it’s tricky because lots of these calls come from disposable SIMs or use internet services to spoof numbers. I had a go myself to see how easy it was to grab a fake number, and as a 75-year-old, I found I could choose from several numbers within minutes for free. Maybe I’ve found a new hobby - calling the scammers back! Anyway, I blocked the number and reported it straight away.

Had a call earlier today from someone saying they were with Openreach, offering a deal to cut down my phone bill by adding some weekend and evening call minutes. They wanted me to cancel my current contract, but when I pointed out that Openreach doesn't deal directly with customers like that, they just ended the call.
