Hello everyone, it's heartening to witness our collective stand against these pesky callers. I'm based in Norway, and just today, I received a call from one of them. I had previously enrolled in a complimentary online course through Shaw Academy, so it seems they might be trying to upsell me on some of their paid offerings now. I noticed several of you have mentioned Shaw, which made it all click. Personally, I steer clear of answering overseas numbers, especially since the pandemic-scams and fraudulent calls have skyrocketed; it’s a real concern! So, heed my warning, folks! I had a similar experience, I must say. It was with Shaw Academy, and this individual was quite insistent on my bank card details. The conversation took a bizarre turn, almost frantic, and when I mentioned I couldn't access my wallet at that moment, she offered to send me an email instead. Oddly enough, she was already aware of my email address. It gave me a proper chill; it reeked of a scam to me. Can you believe I received that call at around half ten in the evening here in England? It’s absolutely bonkers to think I'd be getting a call all the way from Jamaica on a public holiday to boot!

Yet another UK-based number that's attempted to ring me this week over in Australia! The previous one was from “Shaw Academy,” attempting to persuade me to enrol in their online classes. It absolutely reeks of a con, and I couldn’t trace how they acquired my number to begin with.
