They rang me asking for my bank details to pay off a loan. I told them I don't have any. Then, when I tried to find out who they were and which company they worked for, they just cut the call straight away.

I reckon it’s Bodrul Ahmad from Initial Advice Ltd, also known as Need More Time, which seems to be linked to Wimbledon Guild of Social Work. If you try and get a loan from Commsave or Unite Union and get turned down, your details are apparently passed on to Bodrul and his crew. Bodrul handles finances, while his co-director Christopher John Hilditch works as a social worker. I’ve chatted with them both, and ever since November 2011, Bodrul’s been calling me for no clear reason except I took an income-related benefit and some cash that year before going back to work. He definitely scents an opportunity to make money.

I got a call saying it was from QuickLoan, but when I rang back, it was just one of those automated robot voices. Definitely feels like a scam to me. They kept switching numbers and calling again too. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be the UK debt agency, trying to explain some government scheme to me. Turns out they've been ringing other numbers that are pretty close to mine too, which I've now blocked. Never sound like they're actually from England either.
