If it’s actually important they’ll leave a voicemail. Sounds like these are just trying to scam and take your money. Seriously, don’t answer calls from numbers you don’t know. Got a call on 14/03/2019 from a bloke saying he could stop all my annoying calls, he was pushy saying he was from a company and knew my postcode and that I paid by direct debit. I said my service was free, no charges weekly or yearly. He kept pressing, even asking for my card details as it was expiring soon. I told him to jog on, no way am I giving info to some stranger.

Got a call for the second time today from an Asian gentleman. Last time, I told him I wasn’t comfortable giving out my card info but he already had my name, address, phone number and expiry date from an old card. Got a call from a man with an Asian accent. He asked if I was still getting loads of annoying calls. When I said yes, he claimed he worked for BT and said he could sort it using some new tech. He said he’d send me new phones but then wanted me to confirm my full name and address. He even read out my full name and address back to me. Next, he said my credit card had expired. I told him I wasn’t going to talk about my credit card, and he just hung up straight away. Complete scam. He clearly had a lot of my details already. Be careful out there!

Once again, someone claimed to be from the TPS, saying they’d help block all nuisance calls so I’d only hear from mates, family, or the doctors. They even asked how to say my surname and first name properly. It felt dodgy from the start, so I told them it had nothing to do with TPS and the call was cut off. I've been getting calls from this number well before 8 in the morning. An Asian gentleman on the line keeps claiming to represent various companies - from BT warning that my internet could be switched off, to HMRC, and Vodafone, all digging for personal security details. He even mentioned life insurance and suggested I'd been involved in an accident. It’s odd how he doesn’t always talk either. I've come across reports that he’s been rather menacing too. I urge you not to divulge any personal information, and if you can, please do report this individual. I also said I didn’t get why they wanted that info now. They just hung up without giving any explanation.
