Got a call from a lady with a Chinese accent, using my proper name and saying she was from BT, telling me they’d be blocking nuisance calls on my line. Quite the joke really. Then she asked if I had internet. I said, how come you don’t already know that? I asked if she was really from BT. She insisted she was, saying that’s why she was sorting out the nuisance calls. Then she tried to slip in “Is it true your home insurance is running out soon?” Seemed like a dodgy survey attempt. Ended the call right there, so who knows what she was after!

Got a call from someone claiming they were with BT, but it didn't feel right at all. Seemed like a scam with all the rubbish they were saying. So I popped their number on my BT blacklist to stop them ringing again. If you're with BT, definitely take advantage of that free blacklist feature - it really helps block these dodgy calls.

Unfortunately, I couldn't make head or tail of what she was saying; it seemed like a jumbled mess about cutting costs on shopping. Then, out of the blue, she just hung up! Quite the odd experience, to say the least!

Got a call from a lady abroad who somehow already had my full name, address, and postcode. She told me I’d won a £50 Tesco voucher along with a free hamper. Got a call from this number around 7:45pm tonight claiming to be from BT. When I said I’d block them and asked to be taken off their calling list, they insisted they needed my help to register my name. I told them I wasn’t interested in helping at all, and warned if they called again I’d report them to TPS and OFCOM. They then said if I wouldn’t cooperate they’d be ending the call, said goodbye and just hung up! My phone provider has now blocked this number.

Just like others have said, I got a call saying I’d won a £50 voucher for Morrisons. The guy on the phone asked me to verify some info and actually got my address spot on. Then he started asking stuff like my age, if I owned my house, and even what brand my washing machine was. I told him I wasn’t gonna answer random questions from someone who just rang up out of nowhere. He hung up straight away after that. Definitely felt like a scam to me, so I reported the whole thing to the ICO.

This number has been ringing me repeatedly - five times just today, four yesterday, and a couple the day before that. Even though I’m on the TPS and have an ex-directory listing, they keep trying. I always let it go to voicemail and the moment they catch the answerphone, they just cut off. Pretty clear this is some kind of scam.

Some bloke with terrible English called me saying I'd bagged a £50 voucher for Tesco and that it'd be landing through my letterbox the next day. He even had my address, then guessed I was in my early sixties, quickly backtracked and said he got it wrong and I wasn't that old. I told him straight up it sounded dodgy and a scam, then he just cut me off.
