I’ve had non stop calls (over 40 at least) from loads of different numbers over the past couple years, all trying to convince me to switch to a better plan for my O2 number. They didn’t even seem bothered when I lost my temper and swore at them to see if that would put them off!

Gamma Telecom Holdings Ltd seem to be in the business of providing phone numbers, but it looks like a lot of these numbers end up with scammers. They basically sell landlines or mobile numbers and give out lists of numbers that are currently in use to these fraudsters. So if you receive a call from a number linked to a VoIP seller, chances are you’re already on one of those scam call lists.

Got a call from a number saying they were from Vodafone / Sure, really persistent trying to sell me business contract rates and kept asking for personal info like my postcode to "verify identity". The guy, calling himself "Harry," said he got my contact from Companies House, which is a huge warning sign - if they were a legit phone company, they wouldn’t have to dig up info from a gov site. Ended up blocking the number straight away.

When I mentioned to “Gemma” that I was on holiday and wouldn't be able to sort this out today, she completely brushed me off. She kept nagging, demanding that I tackle this immediately, showing no sign of taking my refusal seriously. This has led me to strongly believe it’s a scam. I've now blocked them.

I received a call from a chap claiming to be with EE, insisting he could provide me with improved rates for my business. I mentioned that my daughter is employed by EE, so I wasn't keen on pursuing the offer. He then asked if I was aware of the current business promotions EE had on offer, warning me that I might end up with higher rates. When I reiterated that my daughter works for the company, he abruptly terminated the call. Quite rude, if you ask me!

I received a rather unexpected message today from someone claiming to be a business manager at Vodafone, insisting they had an absolutely smashing deal for a new business phone since I was apparently due for an upgrade. Despite my repeated attempts to convey my lack of interest, he kept pressing the issue, leaving me no choice but to eventually just hang up the phone on him. Quite the relentless sales tactic, I must say!

She said it was a company called Sure from Hampshire or something. When I told her to take me off their list, she just said “its really important I talk to you”. I’ve found myself in a rather frustrating situation with someone from Sky who was adamant about pushing me towards a "business account offer." He completely brushed off my queries regarding how he obtained my information, and no matter how much I tried to interject, he just kept ranting. Eventually, I had to cut the call short. Quite a disrespectful and arrogant bloke, to say the least!

I had a rather annoying experience with a chap named Liam who rang me, claiming to be from O2. Despite my firm no since I'm quite content with GiffGaff, he wouldn't let up. To make matters worse, he was holding me up while I was trying to chat with a client abroad. It got to the point where I had to just end the call, as his persistence was becoming rather off-putting and his tone was veering into the rude territory. Quite the nuisance, if you ask me!
