Every time I pick up, there's this loud music blasting in the background, which makes me think they've got the wrong number. Occasionally, I hear a voice on the other end, but when I try to talk back, silence. It's pretty odd.

Got a call from a woman offering brand new, discounted designer clothes. I asked her for the name of her business or any proof that she actually deals in clothes. She just hung up on me.

This number rang me, and I normally ignore calls from unknowns like it, but every now and then I pick up just in case it’s something crucial. It’s mad how many folks don’t have caller ID or feel they have to answer every time, afraid they might miss something important. It’s really upsetting that some people stoop so low, trying to grab others' personal details or even their cash - I honestly can't imagine what goes through their heads.

What a nightmare! I told them I wasn't interested and guess what? They ring back the very next day. There really ought to be some rules stopping companies like this pestering us. You block one number and then they just use another to get through. So frustrating!

I can't help but wonder how much good these muppets could be doing during this crazy pandemic. There are literally hundreds of thousands of jobs at call centres helping organise and support our frontline workers, but instead they waste their time spreading rubbish and misery. If they actually had any conscience, maybe one day they'd deserve a nod during the Thursday Clap, but honestly, they're miles off that mark. For now, all they deserve is a proper punch on a Friday! Seriously, grow up and do something useful. The whole country is shaking their fists at these daft time wasters.
