Had a dodgy phone call the other day. The bloke on the other end claimed that they’d found a virus lurking in my computer system and then urged me to download some software from their site. Turns out, it was just another sneaky attempt to introduce a proper virus!

Received a call from a number I didn’t recognise and, judging by what others have said, it seems to be yet another telemarketer trying their luck. Luckily, my BT Call Guardian took care of it and flagged it right away. I promptly added it to my blocked contacts, so any future attempts will be straight shut down without even bothering to ring through.

Keeps ringing quite frequently. Thankfully, my brilliant BT Call Guardian phone is doing a fantastic job at blocking them.

Receives a ring two or three times daily. BT Call Guardian intercepts these calls, and the persistent callers never identify themselves to pass the vetting process. I attempted to return the call, but was met with a recording stating the number isn’t recognised. It’s evident this isn’t a genuine caller.

Received a call from an Indian gent claiming to represent Tesco, saying he was dishing out vouchers. He had my name and address but then requested my date of birth, which set off all sorts of alarm bells. Safely hung up on him – no doubt about it, a classic scam attempt.

I’ve blocked this number without a second thought. If you can, grab yourself a BT phone – and keep in mind, you don’t need to be with BT to use it. Thanks to the Call Guardian feature, I haven’t received a nuisance call in over a year. It's a real game changer!

I’ve just received a call from this number claiming to be from BT, stating that they've registered me to prevent unwanted calls. It’s quite amusing really, considering the sheer irony of their approach! If only they had a grasp on what that word truly means.

A lady from a call centre rang me and inquired if I had made any purchases at Sainsbury’s. I politely informed her that I prefer not to share personal details, and then I hung up. Definitely dodgy!

Why on earth is it so difficult to uncover the identity of this caller from Southampton? It’s utterly baffling. These shady attempts at scamming won’t cease unless someone properly addresses the issue. I really urge the relevant bodies, like BT and the Telephone Preference Service, to look into this matter and do something about it!

Just got word that it's Morrisons Appreciation Day! 😂 I'm expecting a £50 voucher soon. I happened to inquire about the name of her firm, and guess what? She said it’s Morrisons! The call came from 02385892473.

I've been receiving calls that appear to be of a suspicious nature.

They ended the call when they reached my voicemail and didn’t bother to leave a message. I’ve just looked back and realised they’ve tried ringing me multiple times over the last four weekdays. Quite peculiar, really!

I've had a second call today, and it's becoming rather tiresome. I asked them politely to remove my father's number from their system since he's quite unwell and requires his rest without interruptions. Sadly, they just ended the call on me. Very uncivil if you ask me.

I let this number ring out as they hung up just before my voicemail kicked in. They've since been added to my block list. From what I've seen in other comments, it seems likely to be a scammer. I’ve made it a rule not to pick up calls from unfamiliar numbers anymore; if it's truly important or legitimate, they will leave a message.

I heard it was Tesco Appreciation Day, and then I got this bizarre request to snap a pic of my birth certificate and send it through WhatsApp! Honestly, I really hope Tesco and other supermarkets take a stand against these dreadful individuals attempting to con hard-working folks like us. It's quite infuriating!

There was a chap on the line who had a rather thick American accent, and we simply couldn't make head nor tail of what he was saying. In the end, we decided to end the call and put a block on the number.

I had an odd phone call earlier from someone with a thick accent, asking for a Mrs. Something-or-other. When I inquired about who they were after, they just repeated the name, and I flatly said no. Then, without any further ado, they just cut off the line. Definitely smells like another scam attempt, if you ask me!

I received a call from this number earlier this evening at 8:20. When I answered, it was oddly silent on the other end. The call ended abruptly after roughly twenty seconds of nothingness. Quite peculiar, really.

A woman rang me up claiming that I was eligible for a £50 Tesco voucher to be dispatched to my home. She even took the liberty of confirming my postcode with me. However, when she then inquired about my age, I sensed that something was off. Trusting my instincts, I promptly ended the call.
