02382622030 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 02382622030 👆 is reported as a persistent nuisance, primarily linked to aggressive scam calls promoting solar panels, windows, and doors. Callers, often using automated or AI-driven voices, ignore refusals and may employ manipulative tactics, such as requesting homeowners to confirm ownership. Despite many recipients being registered with the Telephone Preference Service and using call blockers, these calls continue unabated. No messages are typically left, and some calls come from apparent call centres. Users express concern over potential fraud, highlighting risks of voice recording misuse and data harvesting. The consensus advises not to engage, answer with caution, or respond affirmatively, and to block and report the number to appropriate authorities, including the ICO and action fraud, to help curb these intrusive and deceptive practices.

02382622030 We also got a call like this from 01138689122. A woman named Sam rang, saying she was from Windows And Doors Limited. It made me feel really uneasy when she started asking if I owned my house. I ended the call, but when I tried to block the number, she was still on the line and I could hear a busy call centre in the background. I kept checking my phone and she hadn’t gone. That really scared me, especially when I realised I couldn’t make any calls out. I’m ex-directory and signed up to TPS and BT Call Protect.

This is a solar panel con, best to ignore any calls from this number.

Got a call about solar panels, sounds like a total scam to me. Bet I'll be getting heaps more of these since they’re using VoIP now to mask where they’re calling from, showing fake landline numbers. Technology these days is just wild!

Got a call real early from some energy firm talking about solar power. Proper annoying! Pretty sure it’s just another scam trying to catch you out.

Yet another con! Why do these firms get away with it without any punishment?

They phoned me just moments ago, right after I got another spam call from a different phone number. I didn’t pick up and they left no voicemail. From what I’ve read on this site, this makes the fourth time in a day I’ve been targeted by solar power scam calls from different numbers.

Got a call from a really clear sounding 'lady' who started by asking if I could hear her, then switched to a sales pitch about solar panels. I told them I wasn’t interested, but they just kept on talking, so I’m guessing it’s some kind of AI rather than a real person. It might sound more natural if they said “I can” instead of just “yes” when asking if you can hear them.

Got a call from 02382622030, a bloke with an Indian accent that was really hard to understand. He was yapping about solar panels or somethin'. This was the third time they called, so I told him to shove his panels where the sun don’t shine and then blocked the number.

My partner picked up the phone and the caller just went, "are you there?" He hung up straight away. We’d seen posts on Facebook about some scam where they try to get you to say “yes” by asking if you can hear them, and then use that clip to approve payments or something. Proper dodgy stuff.

My phone went off so I picked it up. At first, no one said anything, then a woman with a human voice asked if I could hear her. I said yes, and she told me we’d qualified for cheap solar panels. I said we’re not interested. Then the voice suddenly changed to what sounded like a computerised version of the same woman. I told them again we weren’t interested. She kept going on with the rubbish. I finally said “buzz off, we’re not interested” and ended the call.

Here we go again with the solar panels. First, a quick chat with an actual person, then this super polished automated voice, sounds like a lovely well-spoken lady. Pretty convincing, but it’s all the usual stuff trying to get your personal info.

Got a call from someone claiming their files say I'm eligible for some solar power scheme, but I cut off before she even finished. I mean, if their "records" can't even tell I live in an apartment block, not sure I wanna trust anything else they’re offering. Seems dodgy to me.

Got a call about solar panels. The woman on the phone was really polite and sounded well put together! Bit uneasy tho, felt like it might of been an AI voice? Would be great if there was a clearer choice for call categories. By itself this isn't too bad or threatening but having an option like ‘annoying/scam/spam/unwanted sales call’ would help a lot.

Got a call about solar panels. They really hate it when you say NO to their request to send an agent for a survey, probably just to push a tough sale later. Best thing is to just hang up straight away.

Looks like a total rip off to me.

Got another call from them today (does the TPS actually work at all?!). I let it go to voicemail, and they hung up right when the beep started.

She was quite argumentative and way too pushy for me, so I just ignored her and got on with my chores, leaving her to keep yapping lol.

Somebody called saying they were from a solar panel company and that I was the homeowner. I told them I live in a housing association, expecting them to say alright and stop, but they didn’t answer and just kept going on about solar panels. So I ended the call. I’m on the TPS list too, so how are these calls still getting through?

I received a rather overbearing call from a woman claiming to be Sam, who promptly announced she was aware that I was the homeowner. It was evident that there was quite a bit of chatter happening in a call centre behind her, which put me on high alert. After a brief moment, I decided to hang up, but my phone remained connected, and I could still pick up on the background voices of others. To be clear, we are registered with the Telephone Preference Service, our number is ex-directory, and we utilise the BT Call Blocker. I've taken the liberty of blocking this nuisance number now.

This lot purport to be running a scrappage scheme for windows and blinds, but it's patently a scam. I've gone ahead and blocked the number.

She seemed to be reading straight from a script and didn’t pay attention to what I was saying. It took her a moment to understand that 'no' actually means 'no.' After a brief silence, she wished me well and hung up. It was a complete waste of both our time. Clearly, she wasn’t even considering the Telephone Preference Service.

I picked up the phone, but there was utter silence on the other end before they disconnected. This occurred while I was in the Croydon area.

Received a call concerning some windows and doors, the caller inquired if I owned the property. I swiftly terminated the call as it was clearly an unsolicited interruption.

Loads of calls from these lot about solar panels. Honestly feels like they're downright pestering me. Once I clock who it is, I hang up straight away.

Been getting calls on my landline loads this January, even though it’s on the TPS list - feels like it’s pointless! They ring a few times every day and it’s beginning to annoy me. I haven’t picked up and I’m thinking of reporting it to the call blocking service since these calls should never reach me.

Just like a lot of people have said, I picked up the phone to a lady saying her name was Sam, but then it sounded like some sort of voice activated message. It kept going on about me being the homeowner (which I’m not, I’m renting) and replacing windows and doors or something. Seems like another scam to me - and that’s the second one I’ve had today!

A lady called Sam rang me on my home phone earlier today. She started by checking if I could hear her alright, then mentioned something about windows and doors. She also claimed she believed I owned the place I live in. I got a bit wary and told her I didn’t, said I couldn’t assist, and then ended the call. Sounds like it was just another scammer to me.

A woman speaking with an English accent said she was Sam from some window and door scrap program. Pretty quickly I realised it was just a recorded message cause she never answered when I asked stuff. I've blocked the number now.

02382622030. A quite pushy lady called me, saying "Hi, this is Sam, I believe you own the property." I could hear a whole lot of chatter from others in the call centre in the background. I hung up, but my phone didn't properly disconnect and I was still hearing the other people talking. We're registered with TPS, have ex-directory status, and use BT Call Blocker. I've gone ahead and blocked this number now.

This number rang but I just let it go to voicemail, nothing was said. I usually do that instead of picking up, its easier and stops me wasting time on pointless calls.

Got a voicemail from this number today claiming to be my bank, saying someone tried to take £300 from my account and there was an international transfer for £1100 pending. They said if it wasn't me, to press 1 to talk to an advisor. Total scam, I called my bank straight away to check and they said it wasn’t them. The caller never even mentioned which bank they were supposedly from. DO NOT PRESS 1 if you get a call like this!

Didn't recognise the number, even though it looked a bit like a Coventry 024 76 code. If you’re in a rush you might easily misdial it. Been dealing with loads of scam and fraud calls, all tied up with cyber crime stuff - no matter how careful you try to be. Loads of personal info still ends up on the Dark Web here in the UK and everywhere else as well. Didn’t pick up or reply since I wasn’t expecting anyone I knew. The scammer must’ve twigged pretty quick no one was picking up. About 4:44pm on 25/01/24.

As soon as my answerphone kicked in, I just ended the call. I’m on the TPS list and I never share my landline number with anyone. Reading the reviews here, I’d have found it pretty funny if they tried to convince me to buy solar panels - considering I live in a ground-floor flat!

I just got a call about solar power, and they claimed they got my number from some Renewable Energy Database - which I don’t think is even real. At first, the voice sounded pretty genuine, but then I asked about the local weather to check, and that’s when it felt off. They said it was AI, but it didn’t convince me at all.
