Got a call but no voicemail or any message, so just a heads up. Some area codes seem really similar to international country codes which makes this confusing. The number I got looked like it could be from Southampton (something like 023), or possibly from around Cork in Ireland. It might even be from a mobile in Moldova. Feels pretty dodgy, probably some sort of scam. Watch out!

I got a call from some bloke claiming he was with a UK helpline, but his South Asian accent gave him away straight away, sounded like he was in India or somewhere. His accent kept jumping all over the place, quite dodgy if you ask me. I ended the chat pretty quick, told him where to go in no uncertain terms. Another classic scam attempt, nothing new.

What a con this is! They tried to pull a fast one by offering to refund me £3,500 after I foolishly shared my sort code and bank details. They went through some so-called data protection checks, and when I fed them a phony address and birthday, they claimed I had successfully passed their verification nonsense. For goodness’ sake, don’t give them your personal info! I’ve also flagged them to Jim Browning, the scam baiter-he’s worth a look on YouTube. Fingers crossed he’ll lure them in and shut the whole operation down.

Received a rather peculiar phone call from someone claiming to be Boris Johnson. He went on to insist that he absolutely hadn’t hosted any Christmas gatherings this year or the last. Quite frankly, I found his assurance a touch dubious, especially with George Michael’s 'Last Christmas' blaring away in the background.
