Got a call but no voicemail or any message, so just a heads up. Some area codes seem really similar to international country codes which makes this confusing. The number I got looked like it could be from Southampton (something like 023), or possibly from around Cork in Ireland. It might even be from a mobile in Moldova. Feels pretty dodgy, probably some sort of scam. Watch out!

I got a call from some bloke claiming he was with a UK helpline, but his South Asian accent gave him away straight away, sounded like he was in India or somewhere. His accent kept jumping all over the place, quite dodgy if you ask me. I ended the chat pretty quick, told him where to go in no uncertain terms. Another classic scam attempt, nothing new.

Watch out, this is definitely a con. They told me I was owed a refund of £3,500 and asked for my sort code and account details. When they did a data protection check, I gave them a fake address and birthday, and somehow they said it was all fine. Seriously, don’t give these lot your personal info! I also alerted Jim Browning, the scam hunter - you can find him on YouTube. Fingers crossed he can trap them and put an end to what they’re doing.

Got a call earlier from someone claiming to be Boris Johnson. They insisted there was no Christmas party behaviour going on either this year or the year before. Bit strange really, cos I could hear ‘Last Christmas’ playing softly on the line. Made me a bit suspicious to say the least.

Today, I got a call from this number. The person said we’d won more than £3000 because of some bank interest overcharge. He asked my wife for our postcode, which he somehow already had. She just told him to send the cheque by post and then hung up.

I told them to read out what info they had first and then i'd check it. They just snapped back with "well forget your money then" and hung up. This number rang me about four times today pitching Life Insurance. I wish I knew which firm it was because they started off by saying something daft like you could die from Omicron.
