Beware of a dodgy common scam involving O2. Scammers call pretending to offer a free gift or 30% off your tariff. Then they try to get you to give them the One Time Password for your O2 account. Once they have that info, they can use your bank details to buy a new phone in your name. Definitely don’t share any OTP!

I didn't pick up when this unknown number called, but they rang me three times within a few minutes. After looking it up and reading what others said, it seems like a spam call. I've gone ahead and blocked it now.

Got a call from someone saying they were O2 offering a loyalty discount. Problem is, I'm not with O2 anymore, though I used to be ages ago. When I told them I wasn’t a current customer, they just replied with “Oh, you’re not with O2?” which sounded odd. The call quality was rubbish and the way they spoke seemed less professional than what I remember from O2. Feels like a scam to me. If it really was O2, they’re making a bad impression with this sort of call.

NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR INFO TO THESE PEOPLE!!!! Got a call from someone claiming to be O2. I kept asking where exactly they were calling from and if they could confirm my name, but they just couldn’t! Then they said they were sending me a code and wanted me to read it back to them. Luckily I spotted right away this was a scam. Also, the legit texts from O2 say not to share any codes over the phone. Just stay sharp, say nothing, and hang up immediately.

They rang me but didn’t say which company they were from. They kept going on about some monthly bill, but honestly, I could barely make out what they were saying because the sound was terrible. In the end, I just ended the call.

I’ve not picked up as I don’t recognise the caller and haven’t got any relatives in Southampton. From what I’ve gathered, this number seems to be linked to some sort of scam.
