I received a call from this number, and I found myself wondering what on earth they wanted. Quite curious, don't you think?

I'm certain it's not Amazon, that much I can guarantee. They're nothing but a bunch of crooks! - 🆂-🅲-🆄-🅼

Received a message purporting to be from Amazon, complete with a verification code to make it seem authentic. However, when I questioned the caller, they abruptly ended the call. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I got a call from some timeshare con artists claiming to be from Southampton. They told me I'd supposedly been "given" a week away, tricking you into thinking you've won a holiday by some sort of mix-up in their records. Honestly, there’s no such thing as a free trip! After that, they try to get you to hand over personal details because, let’s face it, who wouldn’t be tempted by a free holiday? Don’t fall for it. Refuse to share anything and demand that they erase your info from their database.

They just gone and ended the call when I kept quiet.

Had a caller pushing some timeshare stuff, but we told him we haven't dealt with any in like 10 years. Suddenly he got all hostile, saying it wasn't about timeshares at all but the charges we've supposedly paid. Proper dodgy behaviour.

Got a call from someone about booking a holiday for three weeks. They already had my name and address, and said they'd spoken to me before this year. I honestly had no clue what they were on about, and then they started getting a bit rude. Told them to remove me from their list and then ended the call. I've decided to block the number after that.

Got a call from this number today, 25th August 2020. The person claimed we’d purchased Platinum weeks from them. I told them straight up that we hadn’t and then politely told them to remove my number from their calling list.

Somebody named Sam phoned me claiming to be with "Platinum Weeks," trying to sell free holiday deals related to timeshares. I told her I don’t have any timeshare and to remove me from their calling list. Honestly, I don’t even care if they ring again because I’m getting rid of my landline anyway with all these calls coming from different numbers. Really, I’m with everyone else who’s commented here. Lucky you lot - you’ve just helped me save £11 a month!

I got a call from a bloke asking to speak to my husband. I said he wasn’t around, and he hung up without any fuss. He didn’t say who he was or what organisation he was with. Even though he sounded nice enough, I felt it was a bit dodgy, so I blocked the number on my phone. Checked this site afterwards and sure enough, it was exactly as I thought - probably some sort of scam.

Not sure who it was, my answerphone started before the call finished so there was no message left.

Got a call from a firm calling themselves Platinum Weeks, offering six 'bonus' weeks at some so-called luxury resorts for £168 a week. They say they've been operating for 19 years, but amazingly, there's nothing about them on Companies House. Feels a bit dodgy to me, probably a scam.

I got a call telling me I won a four week holiday for all the maintenance fees I supposedly paid on my timeshare. Thing is, I’ve never owned a timeshare in my life! What made it even more ridiculous was when they asked to speak to the man of the house. I told them that’d be hard since my husband passed away 35 years ago. You just have to laugh at nonsense like this!

Got a call about some platinum week timeshare deal, sounded dodgy to me. Definitely seemed like a scam trying to reel folks in. Wouldn't trust it at all.

Today, I ended up getting a call from this number after I accidentally turned off my SKY TALK SHIELD. I've just turned it back on now. Honestly, I hardly ever get these annoying calls when the SKY TALK SHIELD is active, so it really shows it does the job! It’s a bit pricey, but for the quiet it brings, it’s totally worth it in my opinion!

Another typical timeshare scam, promising holiday weeks but insisting on a deposit right away. They got quite rude when I refused to share any personal info or plans. Honestly, it's safest just to block the number.

When I saw an unfamiliar number flash up on my phone, I opted to let it go to voicemail. Oddly enough, the caller hung up before even leaving a message. Seems like yet another one of those pesky cold calls trying to lure me into some sort of compensation scam, doesn't it? - Caller: Unknown

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Gold Crown Resorts saying we had been given 4 weeks of holidays to use within 3 years. They wanted £168 per week to lock in the deal. I wasn't sure if it was legit or just timeshare sales trying to offload unused weeks. I told them I wasn’t interested, but they kept pushing hard to get me to buy. Eventually, I just ended the call.

I recently received a call from this number, and as soon as they said my name, there was complete silence for a couple of seconds before they hung up. In my experience, if there's no response within that brief pause, it's most likely a dodgy scam operation.

I could hear quite a bit of chatter going on in the background, and when I greeted them with a “Hello,” no one bothered to respond. I turned to my wife and mentioned, “This feels fishy to me.” Suddenly, a woman’s voice piped up, asking, “I caught that you think it’s a scam, what makes you say that?” I replied, “It’s often dodgy when there’s background noise like that, but do go ahead and let me know what you’re after.” She then claimed that whenever she rings up to settle her electric bill, there’s always a lot of people talking in the background, and just like that, she ended the call. I’ve since blocked the number. - Caller: Woman on 02382280115
