I’ve just had yet another call from someone claiming to be from HMRC, threatening me with arrest. In the past two hours, I’ve received four calls from four separate numbers. This is becoming quite ridiculous!

I got a robo call saying theres a fraud complaint against me and if I dont press 1 they'll arrest me in 24 hours. Obviously this ain't some legit government thing, just a scam trying to scare ya.

Don't bother answering calls from 0300 numbers - it's usually a scam. Just hang up straight away and don't worry about it. HMRC always contacts you by letter first, they don't just ring out of the blue. There’s loads of scammers out there trying to trick you into giving them money. If you get one of these robot calls, drop it immediately. And if a real person is on the line, just tell them to jog on.

I got a call from some bloke with a robotic voice claiming to be from HMRC. He said I owed money and told me to hit 1 right away to sort it, or else they’d send a warrant for my arrest. Since I earn below the tax limit, I knew straight away it was a scam.

I got a call from some dodgy automated voice saying HMRC was looking into me and I had to ring a number straight away or I’d be in big trouble. Obviously, it’s a scam. If you end up calling them back, they’ll probably try to blag your bank info and nick your money. Watch out for this one!
