7 yearswow, my sister got totally freaked out by these HMRC fraudsters! they convinced her to get cash vouchers for more than £1,000. when I asked what she was doing, she quietly said “it’s HMRC on the line. I supposedly owe taxes and they told me to pay with these vouchers.” watch out, this scam is super common and really tricky!HMRC7 yearsI noticed some missed calls and decided to ring back. A robotic American lady answered and said they were swamped, so I ended the call. Then, they called again claiming to be from HMRC, telling me there’s a warrant for my arrest because of fraud. I just put the phone down and blocked the number straight away. Remember, HMRC doesn’t call you out of the blue like that!HMRC7 yearsGot a robocall that said it was from HMRC, sounded really scary. They kept warning me that if I didn't hit 1, they'd send a warrant and I'd get arrested soon. Obviously, I didn’t press anything and just hung up.HMRCPress 18 yearsReceived a voicemail from someone saying they were from HMRC with a “last notice about a legal case against you.” I didn’t bother replying as it felt fishy, probably just a scam.HMRC8 yearsGot a call with a recorded voice saying it’s from HMRC, warning about a lawsuit against me. Just a scam, don’t bother replying.HM Revenue & Customs8 yearsI got a call from what looked like a scam. When I rang them back, I used a made-up name. They then told me they couldn’t find any case unless I gave my mobile number. I told them if they were really from HMRC, they’d find any files with the name I gave (which was fake anyway). Right after I said that, they just hung up on me. Definitely a scam, 1000%! Don’t ever share your info with these kinds of callers!HMRC8 yearsThis really felt like one of those annoying scam calls. It was one of those recorded messages, sounding like some sort of last alert from HM Revenue or something. Proper harassing, if you ask me.HM Revenue & Customs8 yearsThis really feels like one of those dodgy scams, best just to ignore the call!Submit Your Own Report (023 8214 9860)
