They called saying they worked for “Funding Express” but it’s obviously a scam, don’t trust it.

SCAM - It’s something related to government grants or funds. Definitely a scam.

I reckon this number was probably linked to some dodgy callers before, but it’s now assigned to TP-Link - you know, the folks who make routers and networking stuff. I’m pretty sure about this since it’s the direct line to my account manager at their offices :)

I always avoid giving a simple ‘yes’ or ‘ok’ when these calls come through, even if it sounds like a genuine person. They could record it and use your own voice to agree to stuff you didn’t want. And defo never hand out any personal details. This call had me saying ‘no’ a while before they stopped - I asked if it was an automated thing. I’m a bit wary though, cause I reckon they might soon have a clever reply ready for that too.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from town planning. When I told them I don’t actually own the house, they just went quiet and hung up on me. Quite rude really.

Someone rang claiming to be from Estate Planning, but it was clearly a cold call. When I mentioned it’s actually illegal to do these sorts of unsolicited scams, they just kept talking over me. Seriously, steer well clear of these!

Just like mentioned earlier; had a bloke prattling on about some new laws and how they might interfere with your belongings. The minute he hinted at a way to safeguard them, it struck me that he was trying to peddle something... I ABSOLUTELY REFUSE TO PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM A RANDOM STRANGER OVER THE PHONE. I hung up straight away.

They asked if I'd sorted out any property arrangements to cover care expenses. I said I wasn’t interested in their help and told them to take my number off their call list. I was careful not to say “yes” since I know that’s what they’re fishing for.

Got a ring from someone called Sam about Estate Planning. He was going on about some story on BBC News saying the government might make folks sell their homes to cover care home costs which are like £4500+ every month. I cut him off pretty quick, seemed like a total cold call rip-off to me.

Ignore any calls coming from this number. It has nothing to do with any official government programme. Even though I’m signed up with the TPS, they’ve called me twice now, showing zero regard for the Telephone Preference Service. I’ve blocked the number and reported it.

I received a call from someone claiming to be with 'The Estate Planning Helpline'. When I enquired further about what they did, the caller mentioned that I might have come across it on the BBC news. However, when I pressed him for more details, he abruptly hung up on me. Quite odd, I must say!

Got a call from some automated voice about estate planning. I asked for the name of the company a couple times and told it my number’s on the TPS list, but it just kept going on and on. Managed to keep it going for a bit, but after a few minutes, I lost interest and ended the call. Such scammers.

Received a dodgy call from someone called Sam, claiming to be from the estate planning help centre. Thought it might be about sorting a Will, but he never really got into it. I swear I’ve heard that voice before - turns out it’s the same bloke who rang me a few weeks back about Windows and Doors. Seems like this Sam guy spends all his time running these kinds of scams, must be pulling in a decent bit from it.

Some bloke called Sam who spoke English said he worked for his firm's Estates Department and was ringing about some new government rules for homes. He told me ‘I believe you own the property’. I replied, ‘I don’t see why you’re just ringing me out of the blue’. Then he just said, ‘Alright then, have a good one’ and ended the call.

Got a call from some bloke trying to convince me to pass on my estate to family to dodge future care home fees or government charges. He was quite smooth and had a proper sales pitch, but I never trust cold calls so told him I wasn’t interested and ended the call.
