I rang the number back and someone picked up saying they were HMRC. I've never heard of HMRC actually answering calls themselves or doing it so fast. I just ended the call because HMRC wouldn't contact you like that.

so i called the number back and they told me i've got a warrant for my arrest and that i owe money for unpaid taxes. the way they spoke to me was pretty harsh. honestly, i'm really stressed out about it now.

I got a call from 02381542262, claiming to be from HMRC. They said if I didn’t pay some money they said I owed within 20 minutes, I’d get arrested and someone would show up at my house. Honestly, they were really rude and kept making stuff up. It was quite upsetting and definitely not a pleasant experience.

Got a call about some tax thing, sounded dodgy. They left a voicemail saying it was “urgent” and gave a number to ring back. Didn’t trust it, so I just blocked the number and trashed the message. Better safe than sorry!

Got a suspicious call from 023 8154 2262 today. It was some robotic voice spouting out 7-digit binary numbers. Seriously, don’t pick up or return the call. Best thing is to block it and wipe any voicemails it might leave behind.

I got a call saying HMRC was gonna take legal action against me. They said HMRC would send me a letter too. I double-checked with customs and it’s definitely a scam. My advice: don’t ring them back, it’s just dodgy.

I got a call from a Southampton number and when I rang back, some person said they were from HMRC. It totally sounded like a call centre to me. I’m quite doubtful though, because HMRC shouldn’t have my number at all.
