2 yearsThe guy calling sounded really proper and spoke very clearly. He said he was from the bank checking if I’d authorised a payment of a certain amount. When I told him it wasn’t me, I got a text with an OTP code from the usual Santander number, which made it seem legit. When he asked me for the code, I refused and told him I’d prefer to sort things out face-to-face. Then suddenly, the call just dropped. Seriously, never hand over your OTP to anyone, even if they claim to be bank staff.Santander2 yearsGot a call from someone claiming to be from O2 saying my phone account would be frozen for a few days unless I confirmed my email. Seemed dodgy since I don’t have any O2 account at all. I just hung up straight away. They called again later but I just let it ring out.2 yearsI got a missed call and then a message saying it was a free call notification from O2. Didn’t answer the call or bother replying to the text.2 yearsSo ive got three phones all on contracts with O2, the main line controls the other two, yet I never actually get calls on that main number which O2 is aware of. This suspicious number rang my wife’s phone saying her SIM would expire in 3 days and said they needed to arrange a replacement SIM. But when she asked who the contract was under, they wouldn’t say. Sounded really fishy to me. We just hung up and blocked the number straight away - best thing to do!2 yearsI got a call from someone saying they were with Sky and that I could get 30% off my phone plan. Wasn't really sure if it was legit, so I just hung up.Sky2 yearsIt definitely came off as some kind of scam.2 yearsGot a call from someone saying they were with O2, warning me my SIM card might get blocked - total rubbish. Didn’t bother to ring me back at all, which I reckon a real O2 person definitely would’ve done. Pretty sure it was a scam.Submit Your Own Report (023 8097 2251)
