4 yearsThis morning at around 8.57am, I missed a call but later checked 1471. When they rang me back at 9.55am, I picked up. There was an automated voice saying something about 'BT Internet being disconnected'. Pretty obvious it was a scam because I’m not even a BT customer!4 yearsGot an email that said “Windows Security alert” claiming my Microsoft account was locked due to multiple password changes. The message told me to call this “Microsoft account support team” number to fix it. But there were a few clear giveaways it was a scam: first, my Microsoft account is secured with a PIN, not a password. Second, I can still log in just fine with no issues. Third, the email came from a gmail.com address - nothing Microsoft-related there.
