Today I got a call from someone saying they were with the telephone preference service, asking why I had supposedly blocked their number.

Beware of a call blocking scam. They tried charging me for a supposed 2-year call blocking service and wanted payment in cash - £120 supposedly covers 3 years. Next thing, they put me through to some senior scammer. They actually told me to post the money in an envelope to an address. Really dodgy stuff! The address they gave was a private house in Salisbury Avenue, Barking, London, postcode IG11 9XS, made out to someone called Singh. If this number pops up, don’t trust them at all. Never hand over any info.
