A guy with an Asian accent called, claiming he was Robert from the Telephone Preference Service, asking if I'd received any nuisance marketing calls recently (couldn’t recall exactly what period he mentioned). I said yes, I had. Then he wanted me to confirm if I pay my phone bill by direct debit. I told him I’m signed up with the TPS and they wouldn’t have that sort of info on me, so I didn’t think he was legit. Suddenly, he told me to 'go f**k yourself'. I fired back with 'right back at ya, mate, and make it quick and painful'. Then I hung up.
