My computer is not in any way “messed up,” yet you seem to think otherwise.

He claimed he was with Microsoft, saying he needed to help with my computer issues. When I firmly told him to clear off, he had the audacity to threaten me with a shutdown of my machine!

So, this number 0238 0019948 called me, and some woman said she was from MSN, saying there was an issue with my laptop. But the funny thing is, she called me Mrs Patrick, which isn’t even my name! When I told her I didn’t have a laptop, she got really pushy and insisted I did because she could “see” I had a licence for one. I told her straight up it smelled like a scam, and then she just hung up on me. Proper dodgy behaviour!

Some bloke called me saying he was from Microsoft about my PC. When I asked him to be more specific, he looked a bit lost. I’m way too busy to deal with these annoying calls, so I just ended it.

I reckon this number’s dodgy and probably a scam. Appreciate all the help though!

Spoke to someone with an Indian accent, but the voice was really unclear. When I asked some tough questions, she just disconnected. Definitely sounds like a spam call.

I answered my landline and heard nothing but some faint background noise before the call suddenly dropped. No one said a word. Being older and with some disabilities, your site has been a real lifesaver for me. Now I’m much more cautious about picking up calls unless I recognise the number. Truly grateful for your help!

This lady said she was from MSN and wanted me to switch on my laptop ‘cause she said there were issues found. Thing is, she called me Mrs Patrick, which isn’t my name at all. I told her I don’t even have a laptop, then she got quite rude, insisting she could see I have a licence for one or something like that. I told her she sounded like a scammer, and then suddenly the call just cut off.

Beware of this dubious caller! They had the audacity to claim they were from a computer engineering company, apparently reaching out via MSN. They initially addressed me as Mrs Patrick, which isn’t even my last name! When I denied having a computer or laptop, their response was absolutely baffling - asking me why I had a license for one. When I probed further about their shady intentions and questioned their legitimacy, the line abruptly went silent. Definitely a scam attempt!

023 8001 9948 just rang me - classic Gupta type. Those lads from India sure know how to string you along! I kept telling them I had someone knocking at the door, then asked them what their own name was, said somethin’ about my computer being a mess. Finally, I asked for their proper name, joked if they couldn’t find a real job, and if conning folks is their thing. Then, bang, call dropped. Typical!

I received a call from a chap pretending to be from Visa's Fraud Prevention team. He handed me a different number to ring (which I wisely opted not to), and then he rang me again to question why I hadn’t reached out to that second number. Honestly, he’s not very good at this scamming malarkey!

Got a call from someone saying they were from Microsoft, wanted to fix my PC or something. I said no thanks, then just ended the call. I was polite about it too, but these scammers deserve no time. Honestly, just hang up on those calls!

Some bloke with an Asian accent called and said he was "Kevin from Microsoft". He wanted me to confirm my name and asked if I regularly used laptops. I told him I don't own one, then he just ended the call. Pretty sure he was a scammer trying to pull a fast one.

My phone buzzed and I picked up to hear a woman talking really fast, saying something about a computer. I couldn’t quite make out everything she said. She started asking if we had any computers or laptops. My husband told her we didn’t own any, but she insisted there was some kind of licence involved. He told her that was the first he’d heard of it, and after a brief pause, she just ended the call. Pretty sure it was a scam.

I let the phone ring out to voicemail, and there was a short message from someone speaking with an Indian accent, with what sounded like a busy call centre in the background. They only said "Hello" once before cutting off. Pretty clear it was just junk calls.

Got a call from some guy saying his name was Henry Scott, sounded like he was Indian, so I'm pretty sure that's not his actual name. He told me I had some problem with Windows - honestly, what a muppet!

I received a call purportedly from someone at Microsoft, claiming my computer had been compromised and insisted on gaining remote access. When I pressed him for details and mentioned that I would consult my son-who's a qualified computer whizz from Goldsmiths with several degrees adorning his walls-the caller's tone shifted dramatically. He became quite hostile, raising his voice and becoming rather untamed before cutting the conversation short. It was evident to me that this was a scam attempt, and I had no intention of falling for it.

I received a rather dubious call where the chap on the other end attempted to gain access to my computer. I promptly told him to bugger off. Clearly, it was a scam perpetrated by someone with a very limited grasp of the English language.

I had a rather peculiar encounter on the 14th of September, 2022, at precisely 14:12. A woman rang me up, insisting that she needed access to my computer. After making it abundantly clear that I found such calls intrusive and that my computer affairs were not her concern, I promptly hung up. Odd behaviour, to say the least!
