Got a call from someone saying they were with BT. They asked me to switch on my computer, but I just said no and ended the call.

Once again got one of those quiet calls that hang up as soon as my voicemail picks up. The message just says the caller cleared the line. I swear, these scammers must be lining the pockets of phone companies. It's mad that with all the tech we have now, no one's figured out how to block them for good.

I got a call from an Asian lady offering to help with my BT broadband since apparently some "bad" folks were trying to hack into it. Thing is, I don’t even have BT broadband. So, I just hung up straight away.

Got one of those BT Guardian phones and it’s brilliant for stopping all those silent calls. Blocking annoying numbers has never been simpler with it.

Got a call claiming to be from BT, an Asian woman said they needed me to switch on my computer so they could fix the issue. The number they called from was 02365695641. Seems a bit fishy to me.

The Information Commissioners Office won’t do anything unless you actually report the calls. I tried to share a link here but the site wouldn’t allow it, so just Google them yourself! Reporting only takes a couple of seconds and it really helps.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent saying he was from BT’s tech support. I told him straight up I knew it was a scam and ended the call. He rang back saying the call had been dropped, but I told him I’d hung up and it wasn’t dropped at all, then hung up again. He tried a third time with the same line, so I told him I wasn’t interested, knew it was a scam, and told him not to call me again before cutting him off. After that, there were two more calls right after each other which I ignored; both ended when my voicemail picked up without any messages left.

They’ve rung me a couple of times but then just cut off. We use a call guardian phone to deal with these idiots - honestly, best purchase we ever made. Seems to scare them away every time.

Got a silent call barely 17 minutes after I’d just had another dodgy ring from a different number, 01256232968, which said it was from BT trying some malware scam. I reckon both these numbers belong to the same lot of scammers. Seriously, GCHQ, it’s your job to stop these crooks and keep us safe from foreign spies. That’s what our taxes are meant for, isn’t it? I’ve now blocked 02365695641 as well. Cheers, David from Newcastle.

Got a call from some bloke with an Asian accent pretending to be from BT's tech support, but he was using a different phone number this time. He kept going on about logging into my computer and doing what he said, probably to get me to install remote access stuff and steal passwords or something. Honestly, just stop with the same old tricks and find a new scam to run, mate.

Got a call from someone called Shaun Davis, claimed to be from BT Internet, saying my connection and computer were compromised. He said he could fix it if I just did as he said. Didn’t trust it and gave it a miss. Heads up everyone, these scams are still going around!

A lady called saying she was Sandra Wilson from BT. She told me if I didn't switch on my tablet, my internet would cut out in 5 minutes and wouldn't come back for 5 days. She gave me a phone number to ring her straight away, saying if I didn’t call back within half an hour, they’d shut my internet off.

I answered the call but there was nothing on the other end, just silence. It feels like I dodged another scam call, the usual rubbish. It's so frustrating they can't just be tracked down and shut off for good.

Got a call from someone stinking of rubbish, saying they were from BT. Yeah, as if! Told them to get lost.
