I received a call from an Indian call centre conducting a lifestyle survey. Apparently, another firm had commissioned them for personal data. It's precisely these instances that highlight why the sale of such information, including phone numbers and addresses, should be prohibited.

I've had just about enough of this! This number has called me thrice today and then another three times on Sunday - I suspect it's the same lot. I've blocked the digits, and from here on out, if I spot that 023567 prefix again, I'll simply brush it off. In the past, I’ve answered only to be bombarded with their relentless, futile sales pitches and daft survey inquiries. Nowadays, we just let the calls ring out as we’ve got a nifty caller ID system. Quite frankly, these callers are a right pain, and it’s high time something was done to put an end to their antics.
