I received a call from someone claiming to be with Ofcom, warning me that I might lose my internet connection. I was under the impression that my internet service provider would reach out to me directly if there were any issues. So, I decided to hang up. Cheers!

I got a call from a recorded message claiming to be from Ofcom, telling me to update my internet today or I'd get disconnected. The voice was very posh English, sounded official. I waited to talk to someone and got a bloke with a really thick Indian accent. I told him I actually work at Ofcom and had no clue about this issue, then he just hung up on me. Funny how there’s almost no feedback on this number - maybe the last caller got cut off too.

They've blocked the number and didn’t leave any message. Feels like one of those scam calls to me.

I've had just about enough of this company pestering me with phone calls. Can someone tell me how I can lodge a complaint? They claim to be associated with Ofcom.

Got a call from some random number again, didn’t leave any voicemail. They kept ringing every hour starting from 8 in the morning.

I received a phone call from this number, where the individual on the other end professed to be representing Ofcom, ringing from 0121 306 0847. They insisted that my internet connection was at risk of being compromised and warned that if I didn’t take immediate action, my service would be terminated within 48 hours. Funny enough, I had a similar conversation just the week prior, yet my internet remains unaffected. He purported to be calling from 2A Southwark Bridge Road in London (which, by the way, is pronounced South Walk). When I inquired about the telephone preference service, he seemed baffled and could only reiterate that Ofcom supposedly has access to every phone number in the UK. It’s evident this is a dubious call-definitely a scam.

I picked up the phone just in time, but before I could hear a word, it went silent as a ghost. No voicemail, no noise-just an abrupt end!

This number keeps calling but hangs up as soon as I pick up! It's really annoying that they're so silent.

Got a call this morning at about 8:30 but nobody left a message even though my answerphone was on. Then they called once more at 10:12 and again, no message left! Strange behaviour if you ask me.

This is just like the second message I got. I didn’t even bother to talk to one of their so-called ‘officers’. They say if you don’t respond, your internet won’t get updated. Do they really believe people are that naive? I’m guessing this ‘update’ is just a ploy to make you pay!

Received a dodgy call purporting to be from OFCOM, insisting that my internet would be cut off unless I agreed to an upgrade. Total nonsense!

Got a call twice today, once early at about 7.45am and then again later in the morning, but no voicemail left either time. Honestly, with calls like these, who even needs an alarm clock?
