Got a call saying my Visa was charged $400 on eBay and another $1000 on some international gift card. When I asked which bank she was with, she wasn’t clear at all. Ended up just hanging up on her!

I keep getting calls from this number, but it’s different people each time. One week it’s someone pretending to be a solicitor, the next it’s some kind of sales pitch. It’s really quite annoying.

I got a call from this number on my home phone but I didn’t pick up since it’s only 9 digits, and usually phone numbers here have 11. When I saw your comments, it just confirmed I did the right thing by not answering. What really bugs me is how long this has been happening - I spotted some comments from back in March 2014, and it’s now January 2019. With all the tech we’ve got, why can’t anyone just block these numbers? How are they even getting through phone systems like this? Surely the providers should be able to block these annoying calls. I reckon all international calls should be auto-blocked unless you specifically allow them.

Looks like the call was coming out of Nigeria. I've put the number on my block list now, so hopefully they won’t bother me again.

Got a call from a lady saying she was from Impact, working with Telstra about my bills. She straight up asked for my email and date of birth. Problem is, I’ve never had a Telstra account. They keep ringing me non stop. I’m gonna contact Telstra myself to sort this out. Definitely a scam.
