Loads of different numbers keep ringing me, but I never answer. They just cut off after that which is super frustrating. Funny thing is, my sister’s area code matches the last few calls I got.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with BT saying my phone line was in danger. I wasn’t having any of it and told them straight up it was a scam before hanging up.

Never share your bank info or let them into your computer, its a scam for sure! Also, dont hand over any personal details to these people!

Picked up then they hung up straight away. Blocked that number for good.

They called saying I had “malicious files” on my PC supposedly downloaded from their server. Wouldn’t give me any info unless I was at my computer, which I wasn’t about to do without knowing more. So I just ended the call.

Like others said, they were talking about some issues with my computer. When I asked who was calling and what number, their number just kept ringing without answer and eventually dropped the call. Definite scam in my opinion.

For the last three weeks, I've picked up calls at midday a couple of times weekly. Every time I share my number, the call seems to drop abruptly. Can anyone shed some light on who might be behind this? Appreciate any insights!

Somebody rang me saying they were from BT and that there was an issue with my internet. I just quickly told them I didn't have any problems and hung up straight away!

They just cut the call straight away. What a pointless waste of my time!

Somebody said they were from BT and wanted me to stand by my computer. I kept throwing random questions at him that had nothing to do with what he was saying. After a bit, he just ended the call! Now I’m apparently on TalkTalk’s scam call list or something.

I’ve been trying to block the number but it’s been useless. They ring a bunch of times every day. We even switched up how we pick up the phone, so eventually they stopped trying to scam us and just ended up putting the phone down.
