Yesterday, I received a few dodgy phone calls, so I thought it best to ignore this particular one. After ringing for roughly twenty seconds, the caller vanished into thin air. If they had really been a legitimate caller, I reckon they would have kept trying a good deal longer.

Someone said they was from BT, but I told them I wasn’t buying it. They just hung up straight away.

Yesterday, I received a few dodgy calls, so I decided against picking up this one. The person on the other end hung up after roughly 20 seconds, or about seven rings. If it had been a legitimate caller, I reckon they would have tried to get through for a bit longer.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from the "BT tech team." The bloke, John, speaking with a strong Indian accent, tried to convince me he'd help. I told him I'd been with BT for more than 30 years, then made it clear he wasn't from BT. I kindly but firmly told him to jog on! No answer after that, so I guess it worked!

I picked up but there was nothing said, just silence and then a really long beep. I ended the call straight away.

As soon as I picked up, they just disconnected.

He called and said my name, but honestly I couldn't make much sense of what he was going on about. I told him we don't take random calls like that, and he just hung up. When I tried to call back, it said the number doesn't exist. Over the past few days, I've had quite a few from another number beginning with 0283 too.
