Phone number ☎️ 02301892960 👆 is reported as a persistent scam call targeting individuals with claims of internet or broadband issues, often falsely identifying as British Telecom. Callers typically use a female voice, sometimes with an Asian accent, and attempt to persuade recipients to provide access to their computer. Many users have pointed out the calls are aggressive, refuse to acknowledge doubts, and exhibit unusual background noise. Despite some callers seeming aware of recent internet problems, this is likely coincidental or information leakage used to increase credibility. It is advised to treat these calls with caution, avoid engaging, and verify any service concerns independently through official channels. No legitimate provider will request computer access unsolicited.

9 yearsThis morning just after eight, I got a call from a woman with an Indian accent. She said someone might be trying to hack into my computer and told me to log in so she could fix it. I told her straight away it was a scam and mentioned that if there was an issue, my relative who works as a Microsoft engineer would sort it out. She said something back but I quickly ended the call. Then, about half an hour later, she rang again but I didn’t answer and just hung up.Microsoft9 yearsAbout a week back I got a call claiming to be from BT about my internet/broadband. Then today this same number called me twice in the morning. I didn't pick up either time and ended up hanging up. Both calls were just a couple of minutes apart. I reckon all three calls are linked somehow. The first caller had an Asian accent. My phone and internet are working fine, so I’m pretty sure it’s a SCAM.BT9 yearsThey kept saying they were from BT even when I said I wasnt sure! Really pushy and cheeky! Told me there was a problem with our internet that they somehow spotted through the phone connection.British Telecom9 yearsSomebody rang me claiming to be from BT, insisting that my internet is out of action. I can say for certain, it's a right con! There's no chance of getting online through the telephone line!BT9 yearsUsually I dodge calls from numbers like this, but answered out of curiosity. There was an Asian accent with loads of background noise and an echo effect. I hung up straight away since I figured it was some sort of scam or a cold caller.9 yearsGot a call from this number this morning, saying they were from BT and asking about some issues with my internet. Bit suspicious as I’d just had problems over the weekend that my provider sorted out. It might just be a coincidence, but it seemed like they already knew about the internet fault - which makes me think they somehow got hold of that info. I told the woman off and rang my internet company straight away.BTSubmit Your Own Report (023 0189 2960)
