So at about 3:20 this afternoon, this bloke with an Indian or maybe Bengali accent gave me a ring. He was asking to speak to Mrs *****. I told him that was my mum but she's actually passed away, so he should really remove this number from their list. Then he asked if I was miss *****, and I said yes but I’m only 17, so he can’t be trying to do a survey on me. He asked how old I was, I told him, and then my phone started ringing again. This guy said something like “who’s that ringing your iPhone? Do you have a boyfriend?” I replied that’s none of his business. Then he got even worse, asking if I’d slept with him, which really annoyed me so I told him to shut up. He told me not to hang up, but I did anyway. When my dad tried to return the call, it just said the number was invalid. Proper dodgy.

Some bloke rang claiming to be from the National Helpline, asking if I’d been in any accidents over the past couple of years. I chose not to respond and he just ended the call straight away!

Some bloke called me saying his name was David, sounded like he might be Indian or Asian. He was trying to get me to do some survey. I told him I work nights and had just finished a shift, but he just wouldn’t stop banging on. Told him to take my number off his list, but still got calls at 11:30, then again at 11:34 and 11:39. Proper annoying.

Yesterday I decided to check the number and was told it doesn’t exist. Today, I just let it ring and drain their credit. He then asked for my postcode and read out what he had, but I refused to give it. Next, he tried to get me to confirm the address he showed me, but I wasn’t having any of it. When he asked if I was between 18 and 75, I joked he was pretty smart to guess my age range. Then he said British Telecom wanted to call me about a product they weren’t going to actually sell me, but I told him I didn’t want any calls like that. After me saying no a few times, he said goodbye and hung up.
