10 yearsI received a call from a chap purporting to be with Global PC Support, who alleged that my computer was inundated with error notifications. He was eager to sell me a solution to rectify the supposed issues. Suspecting it reeked of a SCAM, I decided to keep him on the line for a whole hour without ever powering up my device. He claimed my screen was displaying a blue error and other bizarre messages. When he probed for my credit card information, I told him I didn't have one handy. This is a classic ruse where they gain remote access to your computer, potentially damage it, and then charge you for a non-existent service to mend it. They might also attempt to swipe personal data such as online banking credentials.Global PC Support10 yearsGot a call from a man claiming to be with Global PC support, saying my computer was sending out error alerts. He tried to pitch me some kind of fix. I thought it sounded dodgy, so I didn’t turn my computer on. Instead, I just chatted with him for around an hour to waste his time. Kept telling him my screen went all weird and showed strange error messages. When he asked for my card info, I told him I don’t have one. Usually, they want to get remote access and either cause trouble or steal your online banking info. Classic scam stuff.Global PCKept10 yearsHow come this number is tagged as safe?
