Sensing it was a con, I dragged the call on for about an hour but never actually turned my PC on. I told him it was giving weird blue screen errors. When he asked for my credit card info, I just said I don't have one. I've heard they often try to get remote access, then mess up your system on purpose, charging you for a fake service.
