I receive constant calls from this number, purporting to be from Talk Talk. Initially, they were simply bothersome, but now my partner and I have turned it into a bit of a sport. We hold them on the line for as long as possible, bombarding them with absurd queries until they lose their patience and cut the conversation short. The initial caller's grasp of English was so poor that I couldn’t decipher a single word; it was quite maddening. Then, a lady rang in claiming to be from BT, trying to discuss some supposed issues with my internet connection, but her line was just as shoddy. I ended that conversation rather hastily, feeling quite frustrated. About thirty minutes later, another call came through, and curiously, this time they said nothing at all! Just had a rather dodgy call a mere ten minutes ago. Some chap of Asian descent claimed to be from BT, insisting that there were issues with our internet connection and that our computer had contracted a virus. The quality of the line was atrocious - it felt as if he were calling from the other side of the galaxy! Thankfully, I came across an article about these sorts of scams not long ago, which jogged my memory. So, I cheekily asked him if he genuinely believed I’d fall for his nonsense - then promptly ended the call. What's more unnerving is that I’m currently looking after someone with Early Onset Alzheimer’s who's just come out of a seizure. It sends a chill down my spine to think what might’ve transpired had I engaged with this call.

What a shady racket! Just received a call from an Asian gentleman using this number, claiming to represent TalkTalk. For about three weeks now, I’ve been getting calls almost every morning from a number claiming to be 'TalkTalk' - but it’s definitely not them! I rang TalkTalk myself and they said they never phone customers like that. I’m ex-directory anyway, so how are these people getting hold of our number? It’s gotta be from TalkTalk’s side somehow. This number 01215643154 kept ringing me early one morning, like at 8am, then again around 10:30 and 11. I never picked up, and the next day they called two more times in the morning. I tried calling them back but couldn’t get through. They often claim to be from TalkTalk warning me about a virus on my computer. When I say I’m not tech-savvy, they just hang up. I've recently set up a call-blocking app, and the moment they introduce themselves, it’s a swift "Zap!"-number blocked! I have a hunch that these nefarious types are acquiring batches of phone numbers, much like a large corporation would, and simply switch to a different one when they get blocked. Indeed, I received a call from someone with an Asian accent claiming to represent the technical support team of TalkTalk. When I mentioned that we're actually with Virgin (which is a bit of a fib), he promptly offered to connect me with a Virgin agent. Lo and behold, the very same chap returned to the line moments later!
