Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent saying he was from the Post Office tech support, said he wanted to boost our broadband speed. He started giving me some steps to access my computer remotely, then asked loads about how often we use the internet and what for. I had a bad feeling and knew straight away it was a con, so I just blocked his number right away.

This morning I got three calls from a really scratchy line. The first caller's English was so bad I couldn’t make out a single word. Then a woman rang, also with a terrible connection, saying she was from BT and asking if I had internet issues. I quickly ended that call. About thirty minutes later, I got another call but nobody spoke at all. BT really need to deal with these scammers.

I got a call from them yesterday morning but the line was really scratchy, so I told them I couldn’t hear properly and ended the call. After that, they tried ringing me three more times, but as soon as I picked up, they just hung up. Then today, they called again claiming there was an issue with my internet and that my computer was infected. I told them I wasn’t falling for their nonsense and asked them to quit calling me. About ten minutes back I got a call from a man with an Asian accent claiming to be from BT. He told me our internet was acting up and that the computer was infected. The connection was so poor it sounded like he was calling from some faraway place, maybe Outer Mongolia or somewhere. Thankfully, I'd just read an article a few days ago warning about these kinds of scams. I asked him if he actually thought I was daft before hanging up. What really gets me is that I’m currently staying at this house temporarily to look after someone with Early Onset Alzheimer's who’s just come out of a seizure. Honestly, it worries me thinking what could have happened if I hadn’t picked up the phone.

I reached out to TalkTalk last week to end my contract, and since then all these calls have started. It seems like they might be sharing my details with these companies. Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming he was from TalkTalk, saying there was an issue with my internet. He even said he could tell I was on a computer or laptop (which isn’t true at all).... I've heard about these dodgy calls before, so I told him I didn't have a computer or laptop, only a phone (which wasn't exactly true, haha).
Of course, he just suddenly ended the call.

For about three weeks now, I’ve been getting calls almost every morning from a number claiming to be 'TalkTalk' - but it’s definitely not them! I rang TalkTalk myself and they said they never phone customers like that. I’m ex-directory anyway, so how are these people getting hold of our number? It’s gotta be from TalkTalk’s side somehow. I wonder if our details got leaked when their database was hacked last year? TalkTalk told me to keep an eye on my online banking too. Might need some kind of loud alarm to poke through the nonsense!

This number 01215643154 kept ringing me early one morning, like at 8am, then again around 10:30 and 11. I never picked up, and the next day they called two more times in the morning. I tried calling them back but couldn’t get through. They often claim to be from TalkTalk warning me about a virus on my computer. When I say I’m not tech-savvy, they just hang up. I almost believed them a few times and asked them to call on Saturday, but they never bothered. After reading what others have said, I’ve realised it’s definitely a scam.

I’ve put a call blocker on my phone now, so the moment they say who they are, I just block the number straight away. I reckon these dodgy lot must be buying up chunks of numbers like some big company and then swap to a new one each time they ring. Luckily, my blocker lets me block whole prefixes I don’t want calls from, like 0212 in this example, but the annoying thing is they keep changing those prefixes. Bit of a pain, really.

So this bloke with an Asian accent called up saying he was from TalkTalk's tech support. I told him we use Virgin (we don't really) and he said he'd put me through to their Virgin specialist. Got a call this morning around 10:40, the person claimed to be from TalkTalk and had an Asian accent. They said something about issues with my PC but when I mentioned I don’t own a computer at home, they just hung up. Then at about 11:45, another call came through, no one answered but I could hear voices in the background.
