Got a call from an unknown mobile number, didn’t pick up though.

Got a call on my mobile from a number claiming if I sent a 6 digit code by text, I'd get 40% off my phone bill. Seemed dodgy to me, definitely a scam. Told the woman on the other end how she can live with herself doing this, and she hung up straight away. Please, don’t share any personal details. Total scam alert!

Had one of those rubbish scam calls saying my computer was hacked. I kept asking them questions and then they just cut me off. Honestly, calls like this are totally dodgy and not to be trusted.

As soon as the voicemail kicked in, I just hung up straight away. Not sure what that was about?

Got a call from this number claiming to be BT, saying there was an attempt to link an IP address to my account by someone else. The bloke sounded like he knew his stuff but I clocked it was a con almost instantly. BT would never ring without checking with the real account holder first. I just let him ramble on for ages 'cause I was bored and figured I’d waste his time (and money). Acted like I was daft and didn’t get what he wanted me to do on my PC. He had an accent too, sounded foreign.

Received a call from this number around 9 in the morning, purporting to be a junior engineer from BT Openreach. The chap sounded Indian and didn’t have any proper security details or a contact number for us to verify. We were immediately sceptical and decided to keep him on the line, feigning interest just to see how far he’d go. It was quite amusing, really, when he attempted to hand us over to his ‘Senior Engineer’. They even suggested we disconnect our router - clearly trying to gain remote access and possibly install some dodgy software. He wouldn't take our refusals seriously and kept ringing back, adamant that they were from BT. Absolute lowlifes!

I got a call that showed as international on my phone, but when I picked up, there was nothing there. It really made me curious how they manage to make it appear like the call is coming from a London number. Pretty sneaky if you ask me!

Honestly, these scammers are ridiculous. You can even find out who’s called you by simply dialling 1471, so no excuse for not knowing! Don’t fall for their tricks. They’re nasty fraudsters trying to hack into your accounts, grab your passwords and all your login info through remote access. They’ll rob you blind and take everything valuable. Stay sharp, remember Microsoft never rings you up out of the blue, and BT never calls from mobile phones - they always follow strict security checks. Absolute thieves!

Got two calls from someone claiming to be Microsoft. When I ignored the first one and hung up, a bloke with an Indian accent rang back telling me it was rude to just drop the call. I told him I don’t even own a computer and I’m sick of these annoying calls, then ended the call again.

Got calls from this number like three times this morning even after I told the person it was obviously a scam. They pretended to be from Microsoft and kept saying they needed to shut down my computer. Tried to convince me it was legit, but I told him I was aware and warned about how they ask you to hold the redial button so you only call them back. Despite me interrupting, he kept talking over me and was really pushy. I finally said we'd contact the police. The voice sounded Indian.

Got one of those typical 'Microsoft' scam calls the other day. The bloke on the line, I think he was from India or somewhere, kept insisting he was from Microsoft. I asked him if his family was aware of this and if he felt bad about it. He just kept trying to convince me he was genuine, but I just ended the call.

Every day I get calls from loads of different numbers, but it's always the same person on the other end. How do they even manage to get hold of such a huge amount of landline numbers? It's really puzzling.

I didn't pick up and they never left a voicemail, so I can't really say it's DANGEROUS. But after reading what others said when they did answer, it sounds like one of those Microsoft scam calls. We got one of those scam calls from Microsoft last week for sure, but I looked through my call history and this number wasn't there, so maybe they’re using different numbers each time.

I got a call at 8.20 in the morning, which is way too early! Some bloke started yabbering away, but honestly, I couldn't make out a single word he said. When I told him, fairly loudly, “It’s 8.20am here in the UK, please don’t ring this number again,” he finally shut up. I get that they’re probably stuck in some call centre halfway across the globe with targets to hit, but that time is just not on. Anyway, I’ve blocked the number now and reported the call as harassment.
