Received a call purporting to be from Carphone Warehouse. I politely declined their offer and ended the conversation.

Seems dodgy to me - the woman on the phone said she was from Carphone Warehouse, but she had a heavy Indian accent and didn’t sound genuine at all. I asked her how they got my number, and she just said it was a random choice. When I asked if she knew my name, she didn’t have a clue. As soon as I said I’d report the call and wanted my number taken off their list, she just hung up on me. And what’s worse is you can’t even ring the number back. Very suspicious.

Got a call from some 'promo centre' about a new iPhone deal. I asked them who the offer was actually meant for, but all they did was keep repeating the same discount pitch. Pretty frustrating.
