A gentleman called and inquired about when we would be putting Steele's car on the market. I reckon he must have discovered us via Autotrader. She mentioned that she’s already moved on from the vehicle in question, so we decided to end the conversation right there. Quite dodgy, if you ask me.

I’ve come to realise that it’s a bit of a con job. Once you’ve got your car listed, these individuals somehow manage to grab your number and then claim they’ve got buyers on standby. They insist you fork out around £80 for something that’s likely non-existent!

It's definitely a dodgy operation. When you list your vehicle, these individuals manage to obtain your number and claim they have interested buyers lined up. Then they proceed to ask you for approximately £80! It feels rather fishy, doesn't it?

A few weeks back, we listed our car for sale, and then out of the blue, a chap called from this number. He inquired if it was still available. We confirmed it was, only for him to hang up abruptly. So, thinking there might have been a mix-up, we returned the call, mentioning that I must have lost the connection, yet once again, he just cut the line on me! Does anyone have a clue what might be going on here?

It's quite astonishing, really! Even with the 'No Canvassers' note clearly stated on my Autotrader listing, I still get these persistent callers. It's as if they have a radar for ads like mine! Quite bothersome, to say the least.

A bloke called, inquiring about the availability of our car for sale. I reckon he must have spotted the ad on Autotrader. He then went on to mention he was affiliated with some sort of vehicle matching service, and that's when we decided to end the conversation abruptly. Just felt off, like they were trying to pull a fast one. Total scam, if you ask me.
