This number rang me earlier today, and when I picked up, the person on the other end said my name straight away. He then went on to say he was calling regarding my phone number. I asked what was the matter, but before I could get an answer, he just ended the call.

lately ive stopped talking when i pick up - it seems like they connect the call as soon as you make a noise coz i never hear anyone say “hello? hello?” like a normal person would. pretty sure its some kind of scam call.

So every time I pick up the phone, it just cuts off right away. Then when I tried ringing 1471 to check the number, it said there was no line connected. This has been happening loads over the past several months.

Got a call saying it was from Sainsburys, telling me I’d won a voucher. She asked me to confirm my address for delivery but it was wrong. When I pointed that out, she just ended the call!

I got a call from someone with a foreign accent who wanted to talk to me. When I asked who was on the line, they just went silent and hung up without saying a word.

Today I got a call from a woman with an Indian accent pretending to be from Openreach. She wanted to "verify" me by asking which decade I was born in - I didn’t feel comfortable giving that info. Then she shifted to asking about my washing machine type, saying it was part of the security check. Told her that was ridiculous and she just ended the call. On top of that, I’ve had at least 13 calls today from numbers starting with 0128. I ignored most, but one turned out to be a dodgy recorded message from Fake Talk Talk or something. What a nuisance!

I noticed I missed a call, so I gave the number a ring back, only to find it wasn’t recognised at all.

Today, the 15th of May, at about 1.38pm, this number rang my landline. I picked up but all I heard was some muffled noise before they just ended the call. Proper frustrating!
