This call seemed really dodgy, maybe some sort of phishing scam or fraud attempt. Someone rang me claiming to be from HMRC, threatening legal action if I didn’t reply. The voice was obviously fake and kept telling me to press "1". Things that made me certain it was a con... 1. The voice sounded like a poor automated recording 2. My taxes are all sorted and paid 3. It made no sense to only offer pressing "1" when they called me first anyway Definitely something fishy going on here.
