A woman with an accent called me, saying she was from Amazon’s fraud team about an iPhone purchase I supposedly made recently. It was obviously a con. When I asked her name so I could jot it down, she just ended the call straight away.

I received a call from someone with an accent that suggested Asian origins, claiming to represent BT Accounts. This individual proceeded to inform me of my past phone bill payments, complimenting me on my punctuality. They also mentioned something about me being on Direct Debit, which is rather puzzling since I’m not. The caller hinted at some potential enhancements to my service, though the specifics elude me now, and then inquired about my bank’s name. At this juncture, I declined to share any information and promptly rang 1471. After noting the number, I contacted BT directly, only to find out that it was actually linked to Domino's Pizza!

Every time I pick up, there's just silence on the other end.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent claiming to be from Openreach, said they were fixing the exchange and wanted to “boost” my broadband. Then he asked about the lights showing on my router. Felt totally dodgy, like a proper scam. This ain't the first time I’ve had these calls from different numbers. Just block and ignore them!
