I got a call from this number on my home phone but just let it ring and ring without picking up. I generally don’t bother with callers I don’t know and just let it go to voicemail. If there's no message left, which is usually the case with these annoying calls, it’s pretty clear they’re trying to waste your time or even worse, get into your finances. Best thing is to never answer, just let it ring out and forget about it.

I had a rather peculiar phone call from a woman identifying herself as an employee of BTInternet. She asserted that they had been keeping an eye on my internet speeds and mentioned that there seemed to be some inconsistencies. However, the moment I stated I had no intention of running a test on my line speed, she abruptly ended the conversation. Quite an odd encounter, to say the least!

Got a call at 10.18am on Friday 15th Jan from a lady introducing herself as Sherry, claiming to be with BT Openreach. Something about her tone and the way she spoke seemed dodgy right away, so I told her she must have dialled the wrong number and hung up. Later on, I looked her up and it was exactly what I expected - a scammer! Big thanks to everyone who left comments before, they helped me trust my gut. People like these, pretending to help with internet issues, are just a complete waste of time.

At that point, I just wished her a happy new year and ended the call.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from BT Openreach, saying there was an issue with my internet. Funny enough, I’d just spoken to TalkTalk a few days before about my rubbish broadband, so I thought it was their engineer checking in. They asked me to go on my PC and enter a website address. It didn’t feel right, so I figured it was a scam and acted like my phone had cut out. Sure enough, they rang me back shortly after from 01760743655. I called TalkTalk to double-check, and also used this site for confirmation. Cheers for that!

On 13th January 2021 at about 10:58, I got a call from this number. The bloke had an Indian accent and was saying something about my Microsoft account not working and telling me to switch on my computer. I wasn’t buying it and just told him off before hanging up, knowing it was a con. Then, at 13:48 the same day, the same number rang me again. I didn’t catch it was the same caller and answered, but as soon as I said “Hello?”, they just cut me off without saying a word. Seems like they’re trying to trick folks into handing over their PC credentials, so I’ve flagged this as risky.

This number has been ringing me non stop for the past couple of days, about five times now. There’s always some loud noise in the background and I can hear both an Asian woman and man speaking, but it’s hard to get what they’re saying. This number has tried getting through to me about 5 times in just a couple of days. I use BT call protect, which actually filters incoming calls and asks for caller info before letting the call come through. None of these calls had any details left, so they never got connected. My phone just showed them as disconnected numbers. Honestly, BT call protect works really well to block unwanted calls. The best part is I didn’t pay extra for it; I just got a new phone and this feature was built in. Since then, no more pesky calls popping up! Proper good service!
