Got a call where some bloke with a funny accent was asking about my ppi details. Felt a bit dodgy, like it was a scam or summin. Didn’t give anything away, just hung up quick. Be careful out there, folks!

I got a call from some 'credit check' team. They said I owe money and that I better sort it out before it escalates. When I asked for details, they dodged and kept going on about my rights and GDPR. I told them I thought they'd just hang up on me, and sure enough, they did! This was the third call in just one week. Imagine how distressing that is for someone older like me. It's just shocking behaviour, and seriously, shouldn't someone step in to stop this?

So, got a call saying the UK government would help wipe out all my debts - didn’t realise they were that kind! They kept asking loads of made-up info, and it felt like some dodgy loan outfit or scam of some sort. Still not sure exactly what their endgame was though.

So, I got a ring from someone overseas saying I’d won a PPI payout or something. When I asked how I could be sure it wasn’t a con, they just dropped the call on me. This happened on 21st May 2019 around 3.03pm. The number that showed up was 02088009541. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.

Just got a call from 02088009541 about 10 mins ago, i didnt say anything and the line just went silent then cut off after a bit. I tried calling back with my number blocked but it just kept ringing and no one picked up. I’ve logged it with Ofcom now.

I just got a call from a woman asking for a man who passed away a couple years back. When I explained he had died, she just hung up straight away. No clue what she was after really.

Got a call from a bloke whose English was a bit rough, telling me I’d won a claim against a building society for an old loan I supposedly had. He said I was owed more than £3k, but he didn’t seem to grasp that I’d already tried twice to get this sorted, even took it to the ombudsman and lost twice. No matter what I said, he kept pushing me to go ahead and cash the cheque. Quite confusing and frustrating.

I went ahead and blocked the number.

Got a call from a bloke with a thick accent claiming he had my PPI payout but said I had to be under 79, debt-free, and have life insurance to get it. I told him straight up it sounded dodgy, then he said he'd patch me through to his supervisor. Of course, the supervisor was "unavailable" and they said they'd ring me back in 30 minutes. Well, I'll be hanging on for that call with a bit of curiosity!

i got a call from a woman with a strong Indian accent who said her name was ‘charlene’ and worked for some claims advisory thing (totally sus). she insisted we had talked before about a ppi claim, which was rubbish. i told her straight up to stop ringing me again, then went ahead and blocked the number!
