If you keep getting silent dropped calls, make sure you tell OFCOM about them and if it’s cold calls, report those to the ICO especially if you’re signed up with the TPS. Once someone has said it’s a spammer and others agree, posting the same thing again doesn’t really add much. The best thing you can do is actually report these calls to the right agencies so they can take action. These annoying telemarketers don’t care about comments online, but they do take notice when they get reported to OFCOM or the ICO.

I’d definitely suggest getting the BT phone with the 100% call blocker feature. We get loads of unwanted calls but none of them actually ring through, which is brilliant. The phone only lets calls come through if the number's saved in your contacts, or else it gives you the choice to hear a recorded message first, so you can decide if you want to pick up or just send it to voicemail. Had my phone buzzing at half past eight this morning, some person asking for someone I've never heard of. Honestly, I get bombarded with calls like twice a day, and they’re proper annoying. Today, I just snapped and told the caller to just leave me alone!!! Fingers crossed they understand and stop ringing!

Got loads of calls from this number. When you finally get someone to speak, you’ve usually been waiting for nearly a minute. They drop a few names they seem to know, then ask for ten minutes of your time to do some kind of survey, but it feels like they’re just fishing for more personal info. When I asked where they got my details from, the bloke just yelled “Sod off!” and hung up before I could mention the phone preference list. Using BT’s 1471, the number shows as 0208 791 8841, but if you try ringing it back, it says the number doesn’t exist. Anyone trying to hide like that is dodgy as hell. BE WARNED!

They've rang me 4 times already today, and after having a quick look online, it's clear they're just a marketing firm trying to gather contacts to flog on. Best to give them no info at all.

I keep getting bombarded with calls from this number-at least three or four times daily. It's always the same bloke, sporting a thick Indian accent or something similar, who introduces himself as John. The very first time he rang, he asked if he was speaking to Mr David (which is my first name), to which I replied that Mr David didn’t reside here and promptly hung up. He’s incredibly relentless, claiming that I had requested him to ring back, which is absolute nonsense. Just yesterday, he mentioned he was affiliated with a company called 'Connecting People.' I told him I had zero interest in dating services (that's certainly the vibe the name gives off) and hung up yet again. This morning alone, I’ve received another couple of calls from him. This cold calling nonsense has escalated into a real bother, bordering on harassment in my book. Something must be done about it!

They keep ringing me like three times daily and no matter how I try, I can’t block them cause they come up with different numbers like 03331369487 or sometimes just show as unavailable. My partner already told them he’s just moved in but they won’t stop. Even my daughter told them she was the new tenant yet they keep calling non stop. It’s really annoying!

For the past week, I've been getting about 3 or 4 calls each day from this number. The person on the other end has a really thick Indian-ish accent and introduces himself as John. Yesterday, John said he worked for some company called “connecting people,” which honestly sounds more like a dating service than anything else! We're thinking of just ditching our landline because we're constantly bombarded by calls like this. It seriously feels like time for the phone authorities to step in and block these numbers, rather than us having to deal with it nonstop. These cold calls - PPI, solar panels, double glazing, and all the rest - they've gotta stop.

These calls never seem to end. I get a few daily and can’t block them on my phone (and even if I did, one way or another they seem to ring through on another number, like on my mobile). I've tried everything I can think of, but they always want to speak to Mrs Robert - which is actually my husband’s first name. Now, I just tell them Mrs Robert isn’t here and hang up quickly.

I often tell them their name sounds kind of strange since they have a really strong Asian accent. Most of the time, they just hang up once I go quiet. Turns out, ignoring them like they do to us works pretty well too.

They keep calling non stop for hours on end. When I pick up and mention I'm ex-directory and on the TPS, they just say it doesn't affect them. Ive even said I'll report them to the police but they dont seem bothered. I've had to get a bt phone with a call blocker now, which works most of the time (until they switch numbers again).
