This has been going on for ages now. I actually played the whole message back to them on a recorded call to really stress the trust issue, even though they kept insisting otherwise.

This is a genuine phone number from the Met police. If you ignore calls from "no caller ID," they might ring you using this number since some folks block unknown numbers. I spoke to them and checked these comments. Afterwards, I rang 101 because I got worried, and it was confirmed legit with all the info matching perfectly.

Beware, total scam alert!

I don’t think this is a scam at all, cos this number’s been going strong for more than ten years! It’s actually a legit Met Police line based right in central London. Usually, only folks who are hiding something or scared the cops want them flag it as a bad number. Just my two cents... Plus, if you check the TPS, it’s marked as exempt, which basically means it’s been verified as safe.

I definitely think it was the Met Police. A couple days after my hit-and-run, they rang me back just to check everything was alright with me. Totally legit, not some kind of scam!

I got three calls from the same number before I finally picked up, feeling a bit unsure. The caller said they were trying to reach someone who’s missing and that my number was provided to them. I told them straight away that I wasn’t the person they were after, and they seemed nice, thanked me and then ended the call. It felt quite honest.

Lately, theres been a lot of scammers pretending to be guest officers from other police forces, sneaking into stations and hacking into the police database. Then they ring you from this number 0208 780 4180. Apparently, they use something called an FWIN CARD to get around the Police security systems. It's mad how they manage to scam people right from inside the police itself.

This morning at about 9:20, I got a call from 0208-780-4180. The woman on the line claimed she was from the police, but I didn’t appreciate her tone at all. She was really offensive and even seemed discriminatory. I had to remind her its my property that’s been taken, not theirs or the police’s.

This number is what police usually show up as when they ring you. Typically, they’ll phone from a hidden number and won’t leave any voicemail. But the ones that are more straight up will ring from this number if you don’t pick up the private call.

Got called about TEN times while i was eating out. When i finally picked up, the person said they were from the Met police, but when i asked for some ID, they couldn’t provide any, so i ended the call and rang 101. They told me police usually call from a Private Number, so i reckon it might be the Met police, but they’re definitely not following their own rules, which makes it REALLY RISKY.

Got a call from someone claiming to be police askin if I'd been given a ref number, but they was really rude. I thought I was talkin to the police station coz I'd just called them, but then got another call from a different number. Turns out loads of people died in this house before, it's called Top Hit Ltd or something like that. Bit shocked coz I never knew this place had so much sickness and death tied to it.

Got a call pretending to be the police, asking if I was given a reference number, and they were pretty rude. I thought I spoke with the police station earlier, but then got this other call which wasn’t from them at all. They mentioned deaths and loads of people linked to my house. It’s a place called Top Hit Ltd or something, really shocked me, like this house has a history of deaths and sickness or something.

This number phoned me today after I got a call from a withheld number claiming to be Harrow Police. They called back right away, asking for me by name. I asked what it was about. They said they needed to talk to me about an incident. I said alright, go on. Then they said I had to come in for an interview. I politely refused and told them if they think I’ve done something wrong and have proof, they’re welcome to come arrest me at my house. Otherwise, I’m going to stay silent. After that, they just hung up.

I found myself in a bit of a pickle at 5 o'clock this morning, so I reached out to Wembley police station about some rowdy behaviour going on. To my surprise, they got back to me by 7. Just to clarify, this is all through a call centre linked to the metropolitan police.

This number called me like 8 times in just one hour. Dunno why they never leave a message if it's really that urgent. Honestly, I'm not even sure if I should pick up.

This defo isnt a police number. It might have been one like over 15 years ago, and yeah, it still shows up as a police line if you check it. But trust me, it’s no longer legit. Those comments saying it’s from the police are probably from the people messin’ around with the number trying to bother others. Don’t believe everything you read there.

Why do these daft lads keep dialling random folks like they’re proper gangsters? They’re not at all. Like that one bloke who thought he was bigtime gangster but ended up dying behind bars. These foolish kids are just gonna ruin their lives out on the streets. Don’t forget, karma's real. Keep blowing up people’s phones though, haha, we’re getting closer to catching up every day... On March 21, after time in jail, Delphon Nicholas’ family raised worries about his sudden death at HMP Whitemoor - heard about that?

Why do these daft lads keep phoning people, acting like they’re proper gangsters when they clearly aren’t? They’ll never live like the real ones - remember the bloke who thought he was tough but ended up dead in prison? These silly kids are just wasting their lives on the streets. Don’t forget, karma’s real. So yeah, keep dialing people’s numbers, we’re closing in bit by bit every day. You heard about Delphon Nicholas? His family were really worried after he suddenly died while at HMP Whitemoor. It was all over Voice Online. You remember that, right?

This number used to be linked to a police station in southeast London but not any longer. If you get a call from it, just block it or ring the police by dialling 101. Don’t freak out, it’s just some useless lads trying to annoy people cause their folks haven’t raised them right. If you wanna know who they are, drop me a message and I can fill you in. The cops are keeping an eye on them now, but make sure you still report it to 101 so there’s proof.

My daughter has gone missing and this phone number rang me twice earlier. I missed the calls but when I tried calling back, it just played a message saying the number doesn’t accept calls. I got in touch with the police but they said they can’t trace where the call is coming from.

I've received several calls from this number, but they always come through as private. When I tried to ring back, I was met with a message stating that the number doesn’t take incoming calls. Quite peculiar, isn’t it?

It’s really odd, proper odd. I work for the Met and these folks keep ringing even though they know exactly why they're doing it. I’m in the right place for it though, so if you want more details just keep calling.

If you've had calls from this number, try not to worry. It's just a bunch of foolish youths from Peckham acting tough on the phone. They're actually pretty scared underneath it all, especially of the police. They hide out to smoke stuff they shouldn’t and freak out when real officers show up. I’ve figured out who they are, and that Lily mentioned in a comment is definitely part of it. Just some ignorant, racist kids messing about.

I got a call from this number and the guy said he was a cop called Nick Paul. He wanted me to come down to Hounslow Police Station for some kind of interview. It felt like a setup to me. He knew stuff about me and my history that I’m not sure how he got. I reckon he might be working with some black supremacist folks. Watch out for this one.

Blimey! It seems I may have jumped the gun and told that caller to scram a tad too hastily without sifting through the feedback on this number. Perhaps I should’ve held my horses? Mind you, even if they are the fuzz, what sort of copper introduces themselves with just their first name before getting all official about it? If that’s how a constable approaches a conversation, I’d dread to think what it’d be like sharing a meal with them! Must be a case of dodgy upbringing, if you ask me!

I received a call from someone pretending to be the police, and they said, "Is that (my first name)? It's the police...??????" Naturally, I felt a bit uneasy. I quickly checked the number on this website and discovered that they've been making threats and falsely representing themselves as law enforcement. I didn't hesitate and promptly blocked the number. Best to be safe, I reckon!

Got two missed calls from this number and when I looked it up online it said MET POLICE. I phoned the actual police on 101 just to check. After a few checks, they told me there was no record or reason for them to be calling me. They also said that this number used to belong to the MET POLICE but now scammers are using it. The real MET POLICE always call with their number visible and leave a message explaining why they're calling.

Honestly, this aint no scam, it’s just the police checking in. I just spoke with the officer handling my case; if you’re not the criminal or aren’t dealing with harassment or stalking, they’re just doing their job and there’s no need to stress! Now, if you’ve done something dodgy, well - I can’t really help you there lol, eventually you gotta answer the call. They will track you down!

Looks like theres a new scam going around that pretends to be the Met Police. Just so you know, real officers always ring you on a private number. These scammers are mostly going after older folks and pretending they're legit. Be careful and dont fall for it!
